Question guys! I'm seriously torn BRZ or FR-S and colors. Here's the break down of where I'm at.
BRZ 55% FR-S 45%
Colors BRZ pearl white and blue pearl are tied FR-S whiteout 65% hot Lava 35%. I don't want the get what ya like answers just input on which of these if it was you and why. Thanks for anyone who can help

I went with the WRB BRZ, why? I couldn't really tell you, deep down I just had to have one of them, but something pulled me to the BRZ. Weather it was the better suspension however minimal it is, or the fact I don't like the scion crowd. Another reason, I didn't want what everyone else was getting, except I picked the most sought after color haha. I'd say go with the FR-S and re-badge it to Toyota. That's what I would go if I was in your situation. However I would do ultramarine, bout out of your two, white would just look so damn clean :D

The white on the BRZ was sex. I haven't been able to see any other color but the Hot Lava in the FR-S. I'm assuming the whites are the same. The BRZ has some serious pluses but the black bumper bar bothers me the slightest bit

Better interior head unit + nav, unique color option
And personally i like the subaru badge better than scion

BRZ because of all the extra amenties.
SWP over WRB because that was my 2nd color choice and I love pearl finishes.

SWP BRZ. Still turns heads without catching the attention from cops with hot lava or WRB.

I have to agree with the SWP. I think the car is beautiful and stands on its own. It doesn't need a flashy color to stand out. Sometime less is better!

Of course I'm biased as I have a SWP BRZ, but truly I think you can't go wrong with any color BRZ.

I was in almost the exact same position as you - it was down to black, white, and orange/blue (depending if I went FRS or BRZ). Orange was starting to edge out ahead for me, but then I saw the WRB in person - it looks REALLY good. Think of the best looking picture of a WRB BRZ on this forum and that's how it looks in person.

So my suggestion is to buzz around a few dealers and see if you can get a sampling of what all the colors look like in person, it can change your perception really fast.

I wish it was that easy. Out of all the dealers around here only one has a BRZ and the two FR-S I have seen were in parking lots one black one Hot lava. I would love to see the blue in person. I mean I will have a chance as I'm waiting at least this year. Although if the 12-18 months wait is true I should be ok :)

if your going with a brz pick wrb since its the only color that scion doesn't have.

I was gonna go for the DGM but then I saw the color is similar to Scion's. Then I found a WRB for sale, went to it and took a look at it... and I was sold!

BRZ, better quality interior, seats, more amenities inside, HIDs. IMO I wouldn't buy a car based solely on it's color. I see what gives me the most bang for my buck.

I actually found a GBS that has been in the showroom here in Minneapolis for 3 weeks. I didnt buy it because it was dusty. lol XD


But, I found a WRB 100 miles away and got that one instead. I drove 100 miles when it arrived/delivered and I fell in love with the color.

Originally wanted the DGM but the WRB is was just so shiny, attractive, and exclusive only to the BRZ and not shared with the FRS.

That's the only knock on the white. It's shared by both cars. At least the WRB is exclusive but I have to see the WRB in person as of now the SWP is still in the lead

:offtopic:I still havent seen a WRB in person and I really want to see it. I know it looks amazing, but I have always preferred dark blue and I knew it would be rare because most people who wanted blue would go with WRB. I guess we just can't go wrong, the car looks amazing in all colors.

BRZ - better badge and better extras. I'm partial to WRB because it's not only the color that Scion doesn't have, been it's a classic for Subaru. It is a little flashier than SWP, but not overly flashy imo.

Edit - It's also what I drive and it looks very nice in person.

You really can't go wrong though, the car itself looks nice and all of the colors are solid.

Or Hot Lava for an FR-S since it's the only color Subaru doesn't have. That's my vote. ^_^

No opticoat, just a wash and good old Meguiar's Ultimate paste wax will do the trick.

That shark fin does look really good, it compliments the edges of the limited spoiler well.

I'm practically a life-long Subaru guy, so that part was easy. It helped that the BRZ was the better finished of the two. As for color, for me there were really only 2 options: SWP or DGM. DGM may truly be the best color choice for this car what with the dark front bumper and the dark wheel accents, but I obviously went with the SWP because I just love the color. PM a member with one in the color you like that's near you. The GBS is really nice, and was a close 3rd...way better than the RWB that I've always hated, but I'm just not a blue car person. I'm also not a red car person, but the look of the car is such that I actually considered it for a time.

My only real advice is to know yourself and what you like. Good hunting!

I was in the same boat as the OP. I had my mind set on an FR-S, and then I went BRZ. I started to see waaaay more FR-S on the road, and Im not too much of a Scion badge lover (no offense), and I've only ever seen 1 BRZ. I ordered mine in World Rally Blue, simply because it looks very good, 1 of the best, if not the best color for the BRZ (besides SWP), IMO. Also because if you get a BRZ in WRB, nobody is going to mistake the car for being an FR-S since that is a BRZ only color.

It's definitely the best color tied with the SWP but I decided the blue was a bit more me after seeing it in person today!
