yeah I noticed! We ran out to the Perrin deal for a while and stopped off at Rogue Brewery on the way home. Time to kick back in the AC and watch the Olympics. LOL
|
The benefits of having an underground basement.... :)
Stay cool everyone. Layer on the sun screen! |
No basement and only a window shaker AC in the master bedroom. Good thing there's a 40" tv in there for some olympics
|
Just cracked 100 in Portland :(
Im standing in front of my small ass AC unit |
never have i seen ice cream melt so fast in Kirkland.
i picked a hell of a day to clean the yard. |
Climbed Multnomah Falls in this heat. Shed major pounds.
|
Visit Australia. That is all... ;)
|

Yeah... we aren't accustomed to anything but partly/mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 60's. That is 95% of our summer. The other 5% we just bitch about the heat.

Everyone here is melting all the while I'm thinking; "finally, I can wear shorts!" |

Anyone believe 90 is our high for today? It was already hot when I stepped outside with the dog at 8 AM |
I'm seeing 83 already out in Enumclaw. Can't see it topping out at only 90 today.
|
I'm sweating in places I don't want to ;)
|
101 yesterday down in Eugene, 95 now :) I love it!
|
It was so hot I did not wash my car this weekend for the first time since I bought it. LOL I feel bad I might have to go out at 9PM tonight and do it.
|
I washed mine last night and the we got a little rain at my house last night. Just enough to trash the wash job on my black paint.

I know I'm not Northwest, but man, it's hot in Texas too! Today is a cool day and its 100*. Usually it's 108-110* highs!
It's impossible for me to wash a car without falling into a dehydrated daze and reconsidering my residence choices... I'll be living in Urbana in about a month though, so maybe I will get to experience cool temperatures like you guys.. :bellyroll: |
Ugh. Got home to a 86 degree house. I long for AC in the whole house.
|
2 hours in a backup on I5 with no A/C. I long for my FR-S to get here.

I feel for you guys with no A/C in your cars. I had a CRX w/o and it sucked. That was in AZ which was super bad but I definitely feel your pain.
|
The last couple of days were killer because even with the t-tops off the air was too hot to provide any relief. Ugh.
|
The one that always astounded me was years ago when France had a massive "heat wave" and nearly 15000 people died http://www.usatoday.com/weather/news...nce-heat_x.htm and the temperature got to 104 farenheit which is 40 celsius on the dot.
Average temps for summer here in Perth are around 35 (95f) with the Northwest Pilbara areas getting closer to 50 celsius (120 farenheit) |
On the LA Tour yesterday my car was reading 99ish in the hills, when we got down into the valley it dropped to 83.
Crazy temp swing... |
