Remarks Muffler Delete (Quick Opinion)
1 Attachment(s)
Hi there...
It's been a while since I wrote anything on the forums... I thought to share my experience with the cheapest exhaust mod... The rear muffler delete! I bought Remark's (AKA Greddy) Muffler Delete, with a fancy double wall burned finish. When I installed it I was so happy with the quality of it, and the way it sounded from outside the car... then the happiness quickly turned into regret.... it DRONES like hell... And at commonly driven at rpms... Like 2500—4500rpms... I'll direct my frustration to do another long-delayed project... Fully insulating the car with DynaMat... If the drone persists I'll throw that muffler delete away and get a certified drone free exhaust... I think Borla gives "drone free" guarantee on some of their products. That was my experience, I thought I have to share it since the muffler delete is so cheap and tempting for many. You can check how it sounds on my IG profile @abdalkarem_alabawi Regard, Abdalkarem https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...23a104f2f6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c2f74dee95.jpgAttachment 180235https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...72a3e39dc5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a496839116.jpg Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk |
the single tip variant drones heavily too below 3 or so.
I kept it on cause its so damn light but i would look to vibrant to weld on a small 6 inch run of resonator into the midpipe and help with that drone. Ive even thought of welding up a helmholtz resonance chamber like they do in some miata exhausts |
Well, it drones, because... the job of the muffler is to eliminate drone/noise, and you deleted the muffler...

But marketing
"Uncompromising exhaust sound for your daily driven vehicle. Remark exhausts are engineered to provide a sporty note for your vehicle without excessive and obnoxious sounds" Compromised uncompromisingningalingading Sell to a kid and cut your losses, use the money to buy beer and drown your sorrows, I'll help drink it if you need a hand, I'm good like that |
Just turn the music up and you won't notice it.

If you plan on keeping the stock header you have a ton of drone free catback options.
Corsa is probably the loudest I'm aware of under WOT. Cruise is near stock levels of noise. Depends on your goals later. If you want catless headers stick with quiet catbacks. Quote:
If you like the sound, buy the delete piping. |

That's OK it is not possible for me to do that mod. My neighbors would literrally kill me or the car; I would get spits from many cars all the way around. And I have to find a good friend who would paint my car occasionally, and of course get a job on a tire supplier. The most horrific movies that I cannot watch are these dramas https://i.sozcu.com.tr/wp-content/up...ksiz-1-407.jpg (Çiçek Abbas - flower Abbas) https://bi-bak.de/wp-content/uploads...enannt40-2.jpg (Sarı Mersedes - Yellow Mercedes) I use this car everyday from work to home to work to home to somewhere around to another city that my wife does not have an idea where I am :paddle: Its a free go-kart ride, why wouldn't I use it.. |

Click the Link [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7B90eBdLYn8[/ame] This video goes over the basics on the idea, any exhaust shop should be able to help. Though theres actual math involved with good stuff. You can check out the size of the chamber Good-win uses on Miata's. I ran this exact one. Check this link |

I'm using Tapatalk app. And it just shows me photos when I try to attach a file. Sorry for that. BTW, the muffler delete sound is amazing from outside of the car... My complaint was strictly specific about the cabin drone. So don't worry about people stoning you and your Car to death [emoji23] most probably they won't... Unless if they are jealous of how nice your car is. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk |

That's why I think insulating the cabin is the way to go since it's needed anyway. The car feels like a freaking cheap tin, specially in rain. If drone is still a problem, then I'll change the whole thing with a proper end to end exhaust system in the future. Your input is much appreciated.
