I am about to order another set of those.

Tires are one of my favorite purchases overall. That and cleaning the side mirrors.. nothing is better than a crystal clear view behind me!

I had ExtremeContact DW before and loved them, so these were kind of a no brainier. Slowly breaking them in.

We have them on the Mini. Very nice tires! I’m putting them on the FR-S when my Indy’s are worn.

I use that size for snows, although I'm due for another set of those, and was considering using 195/60-16...

I've talked to a tire dealer that I want 195/60-16 for the winter tires. He insisted on using 205/55 R16. He said: "195/60-16 size is considered for trucks in our system, I haven't seen anybody use it in a car." But it has an extra clearance (make the car a little higher) and I think it would be better on snow. I can't decide..

I'd say, decide first on what vendor/tire model you want, and then see available sizes for it. What tire it is matters more then one sizing up or down. For example narrowest hakkapeliita 8 was 205/55/16, but eg. Hakka 9 or R2 was also of 195/60/16. From popular ones like WS80 also narrowest is 205, X-iCE3 & X-ICE North 4 come as 195 too.

I'm thinking of buying a Continental WinterContact TS 860 S. Tire dealer said, I can learn and buy which brands and sizes available for 2019 winter tires after a month or so. If both sizes are available, should I choose 195/60/16? It snows about ~2 months in where I live.

How much does it snow? What are the average temperatures those two months?

Usually, there is snow around my house for about 2 months every year. It snows around 5 to 15 cm (2 to 6 inches) The temperature is around -5 to -10 C° (268-263 Kelvin, 23-14 Fahrenheit) The municipality open the roads and put salt but sometimes it takes 2-3 days for that process, so in some places I have to drive on ice or 2-4 inches of snowy roads.

I know you don't call it "snow" if you can open the doors of your car :)

Find another dealer because this guy is clearly incapable of critical thought outside what his computer tells him.The tire doesn't care if it's on a car or truck.

This is like going to an auto part store and asking for valve cover gaskets for an early small block Chevy, and they ask you for the VIN...:rolleyes:

Got an email this morning that my Shwalbe 26x1.5 tires have shipped.
Dismantled the gearbox and de-greased everything after running it on Tri-Flo for 30 years.
Everything is all buttoned up now. Just waiting on the tires and Continental tubes.
