I love my car...... even more right now :)

Wheels : (lol) Phat Fux - Ballzy (Weds TC105n copy) 18x9 +35
Tires : NS2 225/40R18
Suspension : Fortune Auto 500 V4 + Swift Springs upgrade

I have to say that Fortune Auto coilovers are AMAZING. I've had Cuscos, Apex'i, Tein and KW, and these have definetely the best ride I've ever seen... I shaved 2.5 seconds on my lap time at my local track on the first run.

By the way, car will be lowered some more soon enough... Just want the springs to "sit" before doing it.

nix 08-03-2012 12:41 AM

Looks sweet! Perfect size IMO.

Future 08-03-2012 12:50 AM

Thanks :D
@D1cker ... they're local (from Montreal)... and quite cheap... around 200$/wheel

igorot 08-03-2012 12:52 AM

Those wheels! They look brilliant!

Do they have a website, or ship to Australia?

KI_ZN6 08-03-2012 02:23 AM

Those 18x9 wheels look awesome! I know that these wheels are super lightweight, which might give you some performance advantage over heavier wheels. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your new shoes =)

Where to get please!

yomny 08-03-2012 08:32 AM

Any online retailers? The wheels are great looking and light, i personally would like a bit more tire but the wheels are refreshing from the typical

Rurounimidnight 08-03-2012 08:54 AM

Wow the wheels really look like weds haha and in good sizing for our cars. What tire size are you running? Thanks. Edit: nm just saw it.

TSLRich 08-03-2012 09:21 AM

WOW! looks hot. nice choice.

Future 08-03-2012 09:22 AM

@ People who would like to get a quote... I am NOT a vendor, but I just contacted my local part shop and I "could" get a good deal depending on how many sets (they're sponsoring my website, that's why)... PM me your postal code or anything and I'll check shipping :)

eikond 08-03-2012 09:39 AM

I LOVE the wheels!

One of the first public BRZ owners with a nice set of wide concave wheels. They look awesome on the car!!!! I know we've seen some Rota Torques.. and of course we've seen the really high end GramLights and other Ray's wheels.. but those are $500+ per wheel..

If I could get my hands on a set like yours for $200 each.. that would be awesome!!

blags 08-03-2012 09:53 AM

They actually look great, I love Weds wheels but hate the fact they only come in terrible offsets. I'd love a set of 18x9 +20

Oh btw... these wheels come in exactly 18x9 +35 OR 18x9 +20 hehehe

Mild2Wild 08-03-2012 10:10 AM

Whats the weight on these wheels? Their website is almost devoid of information...

Edit: NVRMIND just figured out how to use their website.

Nice as Fux. I would powercoat those bad boys black but it still looks good on your car. :happy0180:

Esoteric 08-03-2012 12:40 PM

What a great looking ride. Great job, you read my mind!

Would anyone be interested in real WEDS if we can get working on some sizes like this? they are SUPER light and strong in those sizes.

You changed three variables: wheels/weight, tires, and suspension. How do you specifically know it was the suspension that shaved 2.5 seconds? You don't.

Oh thanks... I still can make a difference between different suspension setups... and tires are still only Nankang NS2... were talking about an extremely cheap brand made for looks more than nothing else...

sidnacious 08-03-2012 03:03 PM

Looks good, you may have just convinced me to go with this wheel spec.

Edit:

More pictures please once the springs settle. THANKS!

yomny 08-03-2012 03:36 PM

More pics indeed, i contacted their site and they're willing to sell directly. Awesome!

poormans_LFA 08-03-2012 04:37 PM

really nice!! love it.

miodculae 08-03-2012 06:34 PM

i wish there was some info, some tests (lol, yeah right), any input from drivers, past owners, etc. on these wheels.

i hate to work with assumptions off the cost, but they are extra wide and more of a target for some random rock,
bump, whatever to induce serious damage if their quality is as lacking as the price may lead one to assume.

without a doubt, they are gorgeous, have a killer name, and provide more of road contact at reduced weight
than virtually any wheel on the market with those specs.

i think the moral here is that they're too good to be true.

yomny 08-03-2012 07:13 PM

I think that with more tire, maybe a 245 all around, the wheel would be a bit safer, considering it'll fit and not have clearance issues.

miodculae 08-04-2012 10:33 AM

yes, but that would defeat the point of keeping the overall weight at (or very close) to the OEM number.

besides, the fact they're so light makes me wonder about the strength of the metal and cast method used.

Future 08-04-2012 12:31 PM

Last sunday, in a time attack event, I went a little off track, and hit the beginning of the concrete "apex" (red/white apex)... front right wheel was on the grass and hit the concrete patch (2" high) at about 110km/h (70mph)... I was sure I blew up my tire/rim... Left the track, everything was fine.

I'm sure they're just low pressure cast, but they're not that light, A light 18x9 is 16-17lbs. These are 18.9lbs.

For $200/wheel you can't expect greatness, but these are no worse than a rota

Mild2Wild 08-04-2012 12:42 PM

Also they look to be a smallish company with much less distribution than rota. Not much reputation commands not much price.

SUB-FT86 08-04-2012 04:29 PM

This is in the top 5 best looking wheels I have seen on the FRS/BRZ!!!!

yomny 08-04-2012 04:45 PM

have to say the same and for the price you really cant beat it, also a plus at least for me is that im able to run a square setup and keep same width tires front and rear. Coincidentally i saw the wheels on a car today, look really nice in person.

Not an FRS/BRZ but they still looked awesome.

Scooter Style 08-04-2012 05:41 PM

Looks great! LOVE those wheels soo much.
Still deciding on 18x9 +35 or 18x9.5 +40/+42.... this might have made my mind up.

yomny 08-04-2012 05:57 PM

Didnt know they had a 9.5" with a 40+ offset. I guess it all depends on personal taste. The 9.5 would require a slightly bigger tire which could restrict clearance. I have a 9.5" +40 offset on my Honda with a 245 and it's slightly stretched so I'm guessing the 9" would be good for 245 or less tire, if you want to run more the the 9.5". I'm talking about these tire sizes without having to stretch them, I'm sure you could do a bigger than 245 in the 9".
