FRS -- Pizza Delivery

So I bought a 2015 frs on the first of july, and Im a delivery driver. Any ideas how to make it more delivery-friendly? btw: don't roast, i love this job, and the car.

Just keep the rear seats folded down and use the trunk to load and unload the pizza boxes. The front seat can hold the miscellaneous like drinks etc.

You can put a big cardboard box in trunk as a holder, so things don't move around.

Put it ALL in the trunk, I do the same with all my pizza I get for takeout. I'd get a crate/container that is tied/strapped down that can hold liquids from spilling too.
I'd also get a piece of carpet or that plastic trunk liner people use to protect the insides when it goes bad from a spill or if you are drifting and delivering.

Keep the pizza warm on top of the engine. The hood will keep it nice and snug.

Bring me a large thin crust pepperoni and I'll tell you.

Adam_L 07-12-2019 04:47 AM

no matter what you do, your car will always smell like Pizza. That could be a good thing, but to many people that's a bad thing.

Unless you construct something out of the rear trunk, so it's contained but not in the car… like a Pizza warmer dealio….. thingy

Your not very good at your job, I ordered my pepperoni pizza ages ago and it's still not here........how hard can it be?.....

Tcoat 07-12-2019 07:45 AM

Roast you? Dude pizza delivery drivers are my heroes. They are an essential service.

Grab a rubber trunk mat off Ebay and go at it.

Get a large decal of this and slap it on the door:

I did this part time for fast cash. Take out the passenger seat. Zip tie 2 milk crates together and put them in the space the seat occupied with open face down. Now you can grab them easier and the bottoms of the boxes don't overheat and get soggy.

Only downside is the airbag beeping for 30 seconds, you learn to ignore it. My car only smelled like pizza for 1-2 days after working. Cleaning the car miraculously made the smell go away

Plug the seat belt in behind the crates.

Try this.. at least it'll make the delivery van/car look fast.
Oh, and it keeps the food smell outside.

OMG. DO THIS. YES.

Best idea.

Get an OEM trunk liner and you will be fine. I would NOT put the back seats down, though, just to keep the food smells in the trunk and not permeating my entire interior.

<-- spouse used to deliver, loved it and had so much fun. In a 1985 Renault. 'za always in the back. Safer due to flat surface and yeah.

A common pizza chain opened a store less than a mile from my condo and when I first saw it I was glad it wasn't a chain I thought much about, until they started sending me coupons endlessly. It takes less time to order and go get a pizza from them than it would to bake a frozen one.

Also, pizza (and really any food) goes in the passenger footwell for me. I think the culprit was Dunkin if I'm honest, but I started noticing what looked like a grease stain forming in the passenger seat a while back and after that I just started putting food in the footwell. All-weather mats keep things from sliding around.

As far as deliveries go, I'd go with everyone else's suggestion. Put it in the trunk.

If it wasn't for a movie about a delivery driver in the original ae86, this car would not exist. As far as I see it, the car was designed for food delivery... on a long winding japanese mountain road.

Install navigation. You may have to find another way home if the streets are closed.

Great, now i want a pizza because of this thread.

I don't really understand the question of op, but i think if u drive the car like u stole it, it might shorter the delivery time. Just a suggestion

i've always got to have something hanging off the rearview mirror in my cars, so i put a necklace there. with the brz, without even realizing it at first, i started driving to make the necklace swing as little as possible at all times. most days it will rarely even sway.

that doesn't mean that i don't beat the car like it owes me money, it just means that every action i take that would make the necklace swing wildly, i counteract in some way...

i admit that while pizza delivery isn't an extremely glamorous job, i am sort of jealous. in high school, literally every pizza place had signs up looking for drivers. i applied to all of them, and none of them ever wanted me because #reasons...

looks like bad pizza. good thing she's got a body to make up for it.

This is the new "Junk in the trunk" thread. I'd love to make pizza with her.

Thanks for waking me up this morning!!!

This is what I was looking for lol. My project for the car is going to make it into a sleeper. 1st I wanna get headers and a different exhaust after that I want to look at a supercharger. Faster delivery times. ;)

I was looking for suggestions that I received like a trunk mat, the milk crate idea which actually isnt too insane due to the weird customers that will order an insane amount of diet coke at 10pm. I think I may have to invest in some weathertec mats and the trunk mat for ~$230 total.

you can also consider the husky floor mats, or the 3d max spider mats as well. either are cheaper than weathertech's, with some slight quality differences. i chose the weathertech's myself.

When i first bought my trunk mat, the scion one was not available, nor the toyota one either. So i had to purchase the subaru one for around 80$CAD. but i think they raised the price of that product since 2015, maybe not.

Anyway, i never thought about that, but delivering with this car is an awesome combinaison of work and fun, if you like to drive this car of course.
