Toyota Supra vs. Mr. Peanut in NUTmobile
And the winner by a p-nut is....
[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6BMbbMzMQI[/ame] Bring on the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile! Maybe this should be in the 86 forum but I drive a BRZ so it's here. |
Great, more minivans gapping Toyota sports cars. [emoji849] Jk.
I loved the advert. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I thought it wasn't available w/ a manual transmission?

I'm gonna say that the thought of driving the NutMobile on that banked oval track, at the top of the banked curve, would be a lot more frightening than driving the Supra.

I don't have an automatic twin... I like to drive and enjoy developing skills. My wife's LuxoSUBarges have automatics. Yes, pretty much everyone is aware that automatic cars can be told what gear to place themselves in. Most automatic cars until recently had some form of "P R N D 3 2 1" by the lever. I have never been near, much less in or driven, an automatic 86, so PLEASE forgive my incredible ignorance of what their stick looks like. I saw a guy grab a stick, move it, and the car shifted gears. Strangely enough, that made me think of a stick shift. Weird, I know. Go figure. I guess I'm just really stupid. There can't possibly be any other explanation. Thank you so much for showing me the light. Yeah, I'm in a pissy frame of mind, and yes, you're not helping. My car has been in and out of the dealership since late January when I had the recall done, and it's been there for more than the last two months straight.. new engine, new engine problems, direct injection seal problems (they didn't replace the seals when they reinstalled them!!?!!), found out today they ordered the wrong seals and it'll be ANOTHER week before I get the car, haven't had a loaner for weeks, none available.. blah blah blah. Soooo... yeah... I'm not in a good frame of mind for someone to act all superior 'cause I made what I thought was just a fun comment re/ the transmission in the ad (knowing full well that they don't put an MT in that car). Sooo... enjoy feeling better about yourself and puffing yourself up by denigrating others. After you've digested that little morsel, bite me. /out |
lol sigh interwebz catfights are fun

That peanutmobile would have beat the 86 by mere peanuts. |

It’s one of the more clever cross-marketing ads I have seen. Brightened my day!

Bust a nut , win a Supra !! Win win. Then sell the Supra (as new) , get something you really want
|
That is weird. Doesn't do a thing for Mr. Peanut and hurts the Supra brand. Probably was fun to make, though. Mildly entertaining. Would Porsche, the Supra's supposed competitor, do this with the Cayman or Boxster? Methinks not.
|
Supposed car fans are looking way to deep into a fun and very clever add.
We don't do oval banked tracks and I have no interest in American style football, but that ad is flouting around on Australian media. Plus now I want "salty nuts". Still don't want a Zupra though. Actually we need more cool ads like that. |

Supra might then get roasted. |
