Who ever said this car was small!!

Whats the most you have hauled with your 86?

I packed:

-Tool Box
-Electric Air Compressor
-Racing shoes, suit, helmet and gloves
-Gear bag
-4 track wheels and tires
-Suspension Parts
-Camera Gear
-Mechanics Gloves and knee pads

Still had room for more stuff
btw i have a cusco rear strut, there would be even more space with out it lol. Of course i covered it with painters tape to avoid scratching it.

max i can fit is 3 people.. me, and 2 passengers.. no one can sit behind me, it's not comfortable for me to push up more than 3 inches, and that's not enough leg room in the back..

one in the trunk maybe??

Ricepuddin 08-01-2012 10:49 AM

This was most of what I pulled out of my 86 after a recent 6200 mile road trip. It's hard to see the folding bike stand under the gear bag in the back.

I don't see tire warmers - I only see tire carriers.

Tire warmers are used on race tires to keep them at operating temp and sticky sticky sticky

They are tire totes meant for carrying your tires and not getting your interior dirty :party0030:

Harris Hill in San Marcos, membership based club. Pretty cool 11 turn track.

Here is a link to the track

Ok ok, tire carriers. Got it. Looked like they could be used for keeping them warm.

Me, my wife, my 1 year old, my 4 year old, baby bag, stroller... Some moving boxes... And about 2 weeks worth of groceries from Walmart. Please don't ask me how we managed, LoL. :bellyroll:

When I was young my family once made a trip from Wilmington, NC to Lexington, KY with my aunt, my mother, my brother (8), two sisters (10 and 1), me (11) and my aunt's German Shephard in a VW Bug, including luggage.

We still have scars from that one.

For other examples of "junk in the trunk" of the 86 see the thread listed in my signature.

We're gonna see U-Hauls around the country using these instead of their box trucks. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...lies/amuse.gif

Yea, it was the 1969, which helped 'cause we didn't know better! Aunt driving, Mom and baby in the front passenger seat, 3 kids in the back with the dog on the back floorboard.

The return trip was minus me and the dog. I stayed with the grandparents for a few weeks, and they decided it was just better to leave the dog there until they came back to pick me up.

That bug was working overtime getting up the mountains. No Interstates in those days through most of the trip.

Boosted2.0 08-02-2012 05:44 PM

I hauled 5 20" Tundra rims in mine yesterday. I've hauled a 2ZZ block and 1ZZ head in the trunk with room to spare.
