Have you ever heard of dang blinker?
Unbelievable. On the phone, no blinker, cut me off... and then you try and say it was my fault for speeding.

Well that isn't pretty. Straight on rear ender? You charged?
|
Isn't CT a no fault state? Could be good or bad. Terrible regardless, I can't tell if the passenger airbag went off. If it was just yours, there's a good chance insurance will pay to repair it. if both went off, I'm willing to bet it'll get totaled out.
Looks like you hit their rear corner :( are you ok? |

You OK? OK back to the car. |

Sorry to hear about your car. Hope you are ok. Hopefully you have a dash cam or someone cared enough to stop.
Here's some ancient Vulcan wisdom to cheer you up: May your recovery be complete and their neck pain severe and prolonged. Ok I may have made that up... |

I was thinking of doing similar for the car too. Since all the panels are destroyed. Instead of expensive repairs on cheap lightweight sheet metal just put a full cage and make it open wheel. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk |

Airbag liability + several thousand for a shop to repair this.. I just don't see them doing so. The OPs car appears to have two bags blown which means just on the SRS side insurance will replace: Drivers front airbag Passenger side airbag Dashboard Both front seatbelts Airbag module Clockspring Passenger airbag wiring harness (couldn't find this PN) Front impact sensors (body shops tend to replace these anyways) For a shop that's $2,615.53 at discounted prices, not including labor. Oh plus the windshield, another ~350+ It needs both headlights, even used that's $600+. For a nice pair probably closer to 800+.. again used. Fenders are cheapish at 175 or whatever, hood is expensive at 500-600, bumper cover is ~300 for the parts, going to need a radiator, condenser, t bar, hood release, both fender supports, both outer core supports, likely most of the intake, hit on the pass side might mean fuse box impact and potential wiring issues, coolant neck, possibly the main water pipe (we had one with a broken pipe with less damage than this and it's a PITA to get to - IM has to come off, etc. I don't see any way that the insurance company won't total this out. |
I guess now that it's no longer April Fools Day you can close this thread, delete it, or whatever you want.

A 10 second search gave the real story of the picture. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90987 From that point forward I was just the Assistant Troll. |

Sort of surprised that nobody else clued in by our interaction. I mean really what kind of request for "details" on a crashed car involves cream or black coffee? Wolffbite was sort of heading in the right direction though. I laughed so hard at Dave's response since there was a 15 part video on the resurrection of that car. He was right but some brave soul took it on anyway. |
