Got my Agency Power catback installed today!!
 

Guys i got my Agency Power Catback installed today vid will be coming shortly as well as better pics and dyno runs will be done on thursday.

First Impressions on the AGP catback:

Pros:

-Great Quality and better diameter and bends than stock
-Great Deep sound
-Easy to install
-Light weight compared to stock
-Looks great

Cons:
-A bit to loud for my taste since this is only a catback i cant imagine how loud it will be with headers and test pipe, i need to find a way to muffle it down. I dont like loud exhausts :iono:

It really sticks out that far?

You can push it in a bit more, after the pics i did it and it sits almost flush! Ill take some better ones later.

it is very loud. im running everything but the header right now. I'm putting the header back on as soon as i get the opportunity, lets just say that its very loud. when i was driving around with the full exhaust every honda i saw was trying to race me.

I think you mean Agency Power...there is a company called AGP which confused me for a minute.

There is really only so many ways to route a dual exhaust.

I say just route the headers straight up through the hood and call it a day.:party0030:

I wonder if there is some resonance caused by the difference in secondary pipe lengths.

I was interested in this same exhaust but now I'm getting hesitant with the loudness. Looking forward to hearing the youtube video! :popcorn:

For some reason it sounds very loud inside the car but very quiet outside the car. Im guessing not enough sound deadning material was used?

haven't heard it from outside the car yet. Maybe it's quieter outside than I think.

Yeah it is, the alignment guy drove it today and i have to say it was nice and deep but not loud at all. I think its our interior that is crappy and amplifies the sound. :thumbdown:

If it's quiet outside and loud inside that means it's resonating. I wonder if they could fix that with a Helmholtz resonator.

If it's a cat-back system with the stock headers, wouldn't the cat-back bolt on after the downpipe and the small factory resonator still be in use? (I assume that the small kind of honey-bun shaped item located by the down pipe is a resonator?)

It's a band stop helmholtz resonator. They used them on the Fozzy's and Legacy's that ran quasi equal length headers as well. It works to cancel drone, but it assumes the pipe diameter and harmonics of the factory system. How big is this CBE? 65mm to dual 65mm I'm guessing.

I am really interested to see if the gains are close to what vivid posted.

If its just the cat back, there wont be much gains to be had. The real power comes from the downpipe and header.

vivid racing's dyno run showed a gain of 12hp - that is why I am interested to see what the OP gains.

I know, but I think he was confused. Every single "cat back" has only seen about 2-3 whp gain. The 10-12whp gains from everyone has been from the DP.

I don't know about those numbers considering their 1st Dyno graph of what they claimed was just the exhuast showed a much much higher gain


I'm expecting more like 5whp gain for just a catback but I hope to be proven wrong

Sorry guys, change of plans will be dynoing next week. But all for a good cause, installing my garage AC today since i cant stand working inside a 110+ degree oven.

According to Vivid's latest graphs the real power comes from the catback and is taken away by midpipe/downpipe and header.

Did you install the exhaust yourself? How difficult was it?
