To start off, I have a 2017 Toyota GT86 that I picked up back in September 21, 2016. Traded in my 2016 Honda Fit for it, and by far it's been a blast owning it since then.

At the time, I was working at my local supermarket, so I wasn't able to really mod it since I only made enough money to just pay the monthly car payment and some other bills. Couple months later I started working for the Shipyard, and that's when I really started splurging on this car.

I was influenced by the stance scene at the time and wanted to try it out. My buddy Jessie with his WRB BRZ really sparked interest so the first phase of this car was a trial run of the stance.

After a 3 month wait my custom set of Weds Leon Hardiritt Superstar Progress Line finally wheels came in. Wheel specs were 18x9.5 +25 Square Set.

I was enjoying the stance look for a bit, but started slowly focusing on adding more performance mods. Around the time these photos above were taken I added:

Added a Legsport Duckbill wing to my car. Had it wrapped instead of having it paint-matched because I wasn't too sure on keeping it, so I saved a bit of money. Also went back to the Stock Kouki Tails for the time being.

Sold the Weds wheels, and swapped the BC coils out with the RS-R coils I kept on the side. Around this time I was sick of the stance and camber. The car wasn't practical at all, and I had camber wear on all 4 tires while I was running my Weds wheels. Sold the BC's afterwards as well.

This is how it currently looks as of today. Im happy I ditched the stance look and went with a much more functional setup. This is my daily commuter, so I had to make those changes so that I wouldn't run into any issues down the line. Less is More, simple as that

I do have another Recaro Le Mans seat coming in soon to replace my stock passenger seat. As far as future plans I have in store for this car, I am looking to supercharge it but I am not in any rush. I enjoy the car every day I drive it.

Sadly, we don't have a track here on Hawai'i. We used to, but it closed down over a decade ago. We are currently in the works to open up a new one though. We do have SCCA on Sundays, however my schedule's pretty tight on the weekends due to work:bonk: But thank you for those kind words!!!

-As of today this is how it currently looks inside and out and sits. First picture was at my homies car meet back in 26OCT2019 while I was running my URAS rear wing which was short lived... Didn't think I'd go crazy with carbon fiber and titanium but I've tried to keep it as clean as possible without going overboard. Very happy with how far I've gotten with this car since March! Will update thread later in the near future as i'm currently waiting on a few more much bigger items. The car will probably stay the same for a while after those items come in as I focus on other important things in life. Enjoy!

Nice looking machine! You wouldn't happen to have weighted the Carbing Aluminum Tower Braces? I really want the titanium ones but don't think I can fork over $550 for them. Thanks

-As of today, the car is semi gutted down to just the drivers seat/carpet. A lot has changed inside/out since the last update and I can't express how much I am in love with how it sits and feels currently. Really did away with the carbon fiber as I felt it was starting to make my car look tacky, however, I am still on that titanium craze and hope to one day swap all the stock hardware out of my car with titanium. Will post updated photos of the car with the TRD kit on and hopefully I remember lol... Future plans will most likely be buying a new set of wider tires (265/35/18), maybe new wheels. A little over 4 years ownership and again, loving the car very much. It's here to stay!

Finally got the whole TRD kit on, regardless of the fact that it's unpainted. I will be painting it, along with the entire car as soon as I figure out what color I want to go with. Won't be too far off from the current OEM silver (G1U). Thinking of painting it Silver Ignition (J8A) with a bit more hue of blue. Loving it's current state so far. Also ordered a set of Advan Apex V601's in 265/35/18 from Amazon, and it was supposed to arrive today but due to COVID-19 it has gone through a bit of delay which is totally understandable. Will be ordering a bit more exterior pieces in the next few days to compliment/complete the TRD kit.

Current look as of today with the new 265/35 Advan Apex V601'S mounted to my TE'S. Had to fiddle with ride height and front camber due to excessive rubbing on the frame rail when full locking but got it to sit perfect, my way. Loving the way it looks, and feels much more better than my last tire setup.

I also had placed a pre-order on a set of Desmond Regamaster Evo 2 in a Gloss White finish, 18x9.5 +40. Same specs as my SL's. Will most likely be running the same exact tire/tire specs on these too. Can't wait for them to come in!!.....in about 3-3.5 months haha....
