BRZ owner loses control (Cars&Coffee Meet)
Found this today, sadly one of the twins endured a crash when he fishtailed into a light pole making a left turn when he tried to showoff leaving a Cars & Coffee meet. The irony is that it happend right after a Mustang left the place without incident.

So what's his handle on here?

Look for the part out thread.
|
What happened to traction control?

Lol what a dumbass. No ducks given.
Also....in before the thread gets close |
By the sounds it seems like he lifted which put it side ways so he decided to throw power at it which wasn’t going to help at that point. Looks like it’s wet out. Hard to tell when viewing on my phone.

There goes my insurance rates.

it's always that 1-2 shift that gets them.

This almost happened to me back when I had my FRS. It was my first rwd vehicle and I thought I was Chris Harris in it. One early morning, on my way to work, I decided it was a good idea to turn off all the nannies and gun it through a turn before the tires got up to temperature. Lets just say I turned around and went home to change my underwear. Luckily, I just missed the curb by a few inches.

"What mods do you guys recommend for 350 whp?"
"How do I permanently disable traction control?" "What's the best cold air intake?" |
Quote:
At 350whp, 400+ engine HP Engine work should be done, Clutch, Trandmission is on the edge. Forced induction is needed so cold air intake is not applicable. |

Clearly the only explanation to this video is 2 friends decided to swap cars, and the BRZ owner was in the Mustang, and the Mustang owner was driving the BRZ.

What BRZ owner would ever be friends with a Mustang owner? Back to the drawing board |

Your theory may still be invalid though since there was a perfectly good crowd that they drove past before hitting the pole. No self respecting Mustang driver would pass up a crowd. |

... regardless of whether or not he was driving a Mustang OR a twin.. |
That's some serious skill.
|
I like how the Z3 behind just drove by without a care.

He is one guy who does not do the pedal dance well!
I think this guy miraculously slammed the curb, damaging his wheels and possibly some suspension components but not jumping the curb and hitting the pole. There might be little to no body damage. WTB: 2 OEM 86/BRZ wheels plus LCA and assorted other suspension parts for driver side only. |

We have no idea how old the video is though it may have been some guy looking for parts on here years ago. |

Clearly tried to drift the car on wet roads. The tail went out mid turn and he tried to control the slide, so VSC/trac was probably off.
|
To be fair to the Mustang driver, we don't know that he didn't take anyone out. By the time the 86 turns the corner that entire side of the street is clear, and the Mustang is out of sight. It could very well be on the other side of the shrubbery or well down the street with several people wrapped around the hood.
