Whiteline bumpsteer kits - actually back in stock?

Noticed on the whiteline site (both australia and us) that it's showing the kit's as in stock.

I emailed back in the spring and they mentioned they were trying to have something to market for the fall, but I assumed it would be a new part number. Anyone know if they're actually in stock again?

Neither of the wholesale distributors I get whiteline from have any, or even have that part number in the system. Going to find out what the deal is with those now though.

E: yes, available again and in stock at whiteline usa.

I had this kit on my car, after a year or two the rubber boot seal did not hold up and there was some wear damage, so I went with Hardrace as a replacement.

I tried to order recently (it said in stock) and my order was automatically cancelled...

I kind of like the look of the similar parts by Hardrace. Looks like the US dealer doesn’t have 86 parts on their site. Ebay has some with expensive shipping to the US. Might be interested with a good seller here.

Someone on the 86 Track Cars FB posted pics showing they had it. Not officially listed but they said to call Whiteline directly

The hardrace parts are over double the cost, but if the whiteline ones aren't going to last it's probably money better spent.

I Just ordered Whiteline Roll centre/bump steer - correction kit KCA435

Thanks for the info!!!

I ordered from a vendor in California...

Leonardo 10-11-2018 03:37 PM

Decided to order a couple supporting mods for the bumpsteer kit. Coilovers, LCAs, trailing arms, toe arms, endlinks, and swaybars.

Now... I will try and wait patiently for the parts to arrive.

Look what arrived today!

They honestly look higher quality than the whiteline tie rods I have. I think they probably are newer. Really excited to install these along with the other parts I ordered.

Wait, are these the originals or a re-designed part? I remember reading about them having issues and Whiteline discontinued them. Or at least that's what I thought.

My kit has a manufacture date of 08/09/2018.

StraightOuttaCanadaEh 10-23-2018 12:37 AM

What do these things do?

It fixes the suspension geometry change from lowering your car. Car should feel more planted. And from what I understand, cars that are lower than 1" need it more.

I'm switching to coils and ordered the kit after a couple suggestions. And from watching a few youtube videos of what they do. Whiteline has a long one....

churchx 10-23-2018 02:16 AM

Leonardo: if you are from those that lowering >1", worth install also some diff riser in rear, for CV joints to not fail too soon.

Thank you for the reply. What brand of "diff riser" do you suggest?

Leonardo 10-23-2018 11:04 AM

IMO, you can see the finish difference (hopefully not quality) between the new bumpsteer kit parts and my tire rods.

Supporting mods... Once the front sway bar arrives; it's going to be install time! :happyanim: :burnrubber:

Well, my main suggested choice due various drawbacks would be to not lower that much in first place, as function to me always >> form, and why spend extra just for looks change that to me don't change car to look better in my eyes.

From googled up, riser from PSM for example. Try googling yourself, by adding "site:ft86club.com" to keywords of diff riser

I've looked at their stuff, almost ordered their LCA. I'll check those parts out, thank you!

And I don't plan on going much lower, the FA thread has one Vendor's suggestion at 1.1" lower. Mostly, I've been daydreaming about parts for 6 years. So, when I was finally adding parts to my cart, I thew 'em in!

Awesome, those definitely look like new parts.

smg1138 02-10-2019 10:07 PM

Finally ordered my kit last week. I'm lowered 1.5" on coils and have put over 90k miles on my original ball joints. Since Whiteline brought this kit back I figured I might as well put them in. It'll be good peace of mind getting the geometry back to ideal position.

Pillow142 02-13-2019 01:25 AM

How much do the bumpsteer kits actually raise the roll center?

I seem to remember reading somewhere it's 20mm. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I would imagine they raise it quite a bit more than that... they might be 20mm extended though.

jamal 02-14-2019 02:51 PM

I don't think the height difference between the stock and whiteline parts is that much. 5-8mm maybe?

As far as how much that changes roll center height I don't know if whiteline has published that data (or even bothered to model it in the first place). I took a look at the suspension geometry coordinates sheet in the suspension model thread and would only have plot like 3 of those points but it's not even close to right.

rawbeanz 05-03-2019 04:30 PM

Anyone get a set from Whiteline lately? I ordered mine from them back in March but have yet to hear back.
