Happy 86 Day!! Favorite thing about your 86?

Hello, fellow #86fam!!!! Happy 86 day!!!! :happyanim::happyanim:

What are your favorite things about owning/driving an 86?

I love that the car is just so fun to drive daily (even stock), and it never fails to put a smile on my face. Plus, it looks good doing it!!

My favorite part of my FRS is the torque dip

jordan7831 08-06-2018 01:36 PM

Personally, I love all the mysterious rattles. The best part is finding and stopping rattle, to have another brand new rattle pop up! The fun starts all over again!

Clipdat 08-06-2018 01:38 PM

My favorite thing is that it's a fucking badass street legal race car, that feels incredible to drive - unlike any other car on the road.

Very very true. :party0030:

I like that its light weight and I keep finding more things I can rip out to make lighter

humfrz 08-06-2018 02:25 PM

I like the positive comments I get about my FR-S, especially from the younger folks.

Makes me feel young!

;)

It’s stick shift!

Sapphireho 08-06-2018 02:53 PM

I like the quiet smooth ride, and all the room.

Leonardo 08-06-2018 02:59 PM

It compromises perfectly between:

Style - Practicality

Cost - Quality

Pedigree - Reliability

Power - Efficiency

Well, mine is still very new to me. New enough that this 8/6 day is my first monthly payment installment (a good day for the first payment, right?). So I don't have much as far as favorites yet.

I like that so far it has made me smile every time I have driven it.
I liked the "whoa, nice car!" I got from some random kid as I passed by one of the first days I owned it. (The twins are fairly uncommon in my neck of the woods.)

My favorite thing at the moment though is probably the feeling I get when I walk out and see it sitting in my garage after wanting to get one since first seeing the concept 9 years ago.

Rican_D 08-06-2018 03:13 PM

I just love the looks and the joy of driving the car

Now I insert sarcasm... Love the TOB and the steering column rattle 🤣

I love the sarcasm of the other 86 owners.

Cheeky 08-06-2018 03:49 PM

This car has the highest compliments/$ ratio.

Is I sarcasm or irony?

In this case, both apply.

bkharmony 08-06-2018 04:14 PM

I love being practically invisible to every other vehicle on the road.

MCTeeJ 08-06-2018 04:17 PM

I've never had more fun with 193hp than in this car.

mazeroni 08-06-2018 04:27 PM

Wheelbase and turning radius

RToyo86 08-06-2018 05:07 PM

The little joys it brings me every day.

Just earlier today while I was at the gym, I noticed two guys walking back to their cars stop at my car; start pointing and looking the car over with smiles on their faces.

DrifterD 08-06-2018 05:27 PM

Love that people think it's fast.

VoltsFRS2013 08-06-2018 05:39 PM

*smug look on face*

AS A PREVIOUS CORVETTE AND M3 OWNER I AM DISGUSTED WITH THE POWER THIS CAR HAS... I AM ABOUT TO TAKE MY CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP RIGHT NO--

Okay but fr, this car has been amazing. Im at about a year and three quarters of ownership. Learned to drive in this thing and so far its treated me well. Not many problems (knock on wood) so far.

Happy 8/6 day all. be safe out there

That would go under my least favorite thing. Many times some dipshit in a lifted truck swerves over in my lane without seeing me. Gives me an opportunity to flick them off

Perfect example of using sarcasm to point out irony!

my favorite thing is gas mileage. i don't have to guzzle gas to have fun!

Ultramaroon 08-06-2018 06:48 PM

I love that I can fit in it.

Happy 86 Day, errybody.

Yay. I win. :clap::clap::clap:

Handles great, and for what I paid for a new car I think the seats are awesome.

Driving it in the winter on good snow tires (and not feeling at all like I'm going to die every 5 seconds) is a special kind of fun.

Unexpectedly getting 40mpg highway out of pricey high octane fuel is a pretty nice thing, too. At least now I know it can be done.

pcguru2000 08-06-2018 07:20 PM

Love that it corners like it's on rails (that's with the prius tires).

Love the fast AT, floor it, 1 second later you're at 6500 rpm and the engine is howling like a banshee!

Love the factory seats that hold you like shrek gripping a turkey leg.

You beat me to it, the seats seem like they were made for me. And the sitting position it and the car provides is amazing.

I do love the AT on this car as well. The rev matching and that you can use the paddle/stick shifter without going into Manual mode. Downshifting on demand.

Definitely my favorite thing. After my last car I just cringed at all the turbo 4 owners being happy barely able to get 20 mpg, I just couldn't take that hit.

Oh and seemingly influencing several people where I live to buy one.

enouf 08-06-2018 11:07 PM

I love 68 day!

OMEN 08-07-2018 12:27 AM

I like it because non-car enthusiast think it's a SUPRA

NARFALICIOUS 08-07-2018 01:26 AM

I love that we have our own day.

Vic4uf 08-07-2018 03:32 AM

I know it receives a lot of criticism but I like the sound of the engine as it climbs through the rpms. I started driving with the rear seats folder down and it is like I bought a new exhaust.

FR-Sky 08-07-2018 03:39 AM

This car made for me.

Definitely. I was cross-shopping with EVO 8/9; and even though an Evo would have been faster, it's always a big gamble on reliability on used Evos. Especially needing it for DD purposes.
