Low profile jack
 

My current low profile jack doesn't work on the front jack spot of the car without driving up on ramps. because of the STI front lip. I was curious if anyone has had success with a low profile jack that works with the STI front lip(without ramps)? If so please link the model of jack that works.

What I have always ended up doing is using the scissor jack on the front side to bring it up a little bit first and then have no problems getting a floor jack under the front bumper. Then up in the air and onto stands

When I was lowered, my jack wouldn't fit either. I build some low profile ramps out of some 1x12 board. after driving up on it, the jack slid right under.

I've also got a low profile jack from harbor freight that works like a charm as well.

Harbor Freight used to have a 2-ton ultra-low-profile floor jack that fit under my STI lip (barely), but it seems they no longer carry it. :-\

Edit: it was pretty similar to this one but less expensive.

Edit2: This is it. Seems prices have gone up since it was discontinued...

The ARCAN jack that @Trueweltall posted an Amazon link to was what I was going to recommend. It isn't cheap, but it works. It gets to the front jack point on my BRZ without ramps... and my BRZ is lowered... and has a front lip.

It will also jack the car incredibly high, making it super easy to work underneath :D

It's worth it if you're lowered more than 1/2 inch, that's for sure! The Arcan extra low profile jack will last you a lifetime probably. If you're using the stock muffler and you're lowered, it will not get in the way when you slide it under to the rear diff.

Just got a Harbor Freight low profile Jack for my birthday yesterday.

Wife asked what I wanted and...

I have the same jack. I have to drive up on a couple 2x6s but I'm pretty low with a front lip.

Also have the fumoto (on all my cars). It's a fantastic little upgrade.

That's some high tech there! I wonder if Subaru might take notice and add it to the new BRZs.

No. I have a set of those low profile ramps and they don’t get the car high enough to do anything. Plus ramps are even tougher to use because the lip has to go over them.

You may have to jack up from the side under the jack points.

I've also got a BRZ tS, my 3 ton jack just slips under the front lip and reaches the metal crossmember for jacking. Lifts nice and high too.

Yep, as Ed said, I drive up on 2 2x4 blocks first and then jack the car up.

Then I use a normal jack to get my hand over the oil pan and unscrew the drain bolt. Then I lower it again onto the ramps to drain the oil. I found that these ramps on a typical driveway slope makes the car almost perfectly level.

It's low profile in front but increases in height toward the rear. Can't tell what the dimensions are.

I've got this same jack too. They call it a 3 ton but it really only weighs about a ton.

nope you will need 2x4s first. and you can buy it at harbor freight for like $100.
