Semi Gloss vs Satin Black on World rally blue

Hi All,

Im thinking of either Semi gloss or satin black wheels on World rally blue.
Which one do you think is better looking on WRB color?
I have never seen BRZ with these colors before, so if you have, please advise.

8RZ 05-08-2018 03:56 PM

Gold.

BigTuna 05-08-2018 04:13 PM

White

Tcoat 05-08-2018 04:13 PM

Satin on front semi on rear.

Both will look the same in a few minutes if you actually drive the car.

Brink 05-08-2018 04:59 PM

Black wheels? I think you mean gray.

You spelled gunmetal wrong.

Buy Gold or Silver wheels. Plastidip them whatever color you want. Even semi-gloss black.

When you get bored of your dirty black wheels, peel off the plastidip.

Really any nice bright color works well. Gold, yellow, orange, purple, etc.

HKz 05-08-2018 07:33 PM

helpful as always guys...

try www.tirerack.com. enter in the make, model, color, year, and specs.

choose a tire and BLAMO! a graphical representation of what your car will look like with the wheels you are considering

disclaimer - color is subjective to available light, the gamma tone on your monitor, and whether you have had a recent appointment with your ophthalmologist.

Gun metal by the way. :bonk:

yes I know I need to use more capitals, but geography was never my best subject in high school.

Not only colour. He is trying to decide between satin and semi gloss. Not a hope in hell of seeing that difference in a picture.

True true, They could apply clear nail polish to the computer monitor.

Have you seen how many posts this guy has made about wheels? Pretty sure this is number 5, and the first 4 were identical questions to the point I was wondering if it was a bot gathering marketing data so aliens could invade and take over the car industry.

LOLS2K 05-10-2018 12:10 PM

This thread is useless without a poll.

I thought satin was semi-gloss?

Close but not quite. Satin is closer to matte while semi gloss is... well... semi glossy.

Thanks for reminding me!

The dude just can not seem to grasp the concept of asking more than one question on the same topic in a thread.

That would require you to start a new thread.

TheRoops 05-10-2018 05:11 PM

I have these in flat black and they look great. Though everyone is right about the brake dust.

What wheels?
Crappy cheap wheels, get black.
If you are getting nice wheels for real money, get a color that will make them stand out instead of hide them. I would choose a bright silver over black any day..
Also black wheels make tires look old and gray, unless you use tire shine daily.
