What did you pay for your New/2nd 86/FRS/BRZ
Hey guys!
I am not sure if you guys mind to share the amount out of your pocket or at least the deal for your brand new or used Toyobaru. If possible, sharing the location might help some others :thanks: It will definitely help me. In addition, do you think that we can get the brand new 86 GT/GTS less than the MSRP? If yes, %? I bought mine with 137km on the Odo from the dealer.
I went in because they were offering 0.9% financing on 2017 clear out. The short of it; I was able to get $3700 CAD off MSRP because they screwed up with registering of the car, which made it "used" and no longer eligible for 0.9%. If you factor in the new financing percentage I didn't technically save any money over the full term of financing. I plan to make extra payments early on which goes directly towards the principal amount, which will save me on interest. |

I got my 860 Special Edition 6 months old with only 4900 miles on the Odometer. Payed $22,500 for it (around $30k new). It was at a BMW dealership so maybe the previous owner got a promotion or something. Similar to RToyo86, I didn't get the ultra low rate since it's used. I'm in Vancouver, WA/Portland, OR area.
While shopping around at the same time that the Portland Auto Show was going on, I also saw some new 86's with deep discounts because of the auto show. I saw a new 860 Special Edition for $26,000 at Toyota of Vancouver in WA. |

Mine is a year old. 86 base with spoiler. paid 26,800 plus TT&L in Baton Rouge brand new like 4 miles on it. It is the damm insurance that is ridiculous and I have no at fault accidents or tickets and great credit, etc. but that is another subject,

I understand what you're doing, OP - I was in the same position last year and I found it difficult to get a feel for what's a good price and what's a dealer taking advantage of me. That said, this exercise is mostly pointless, especially since you said you're looking for a brand new 86/BRZ.
They don't make enough of these cars that you can really haggle. A dealer can only go so low on a car they sell 3 of every year. There aren't crazy incentives or room to make up profit in numbers. The other thing is, they know they're gonna sell all their 86 & BRZs. You're basically gonna pay MSRP; maybe a bit less if you find a car that's been on the lot a while. I got a few hundred off MSRP, some extras thrown in, and some concessions on getting out of my existing lease early. I considered that a win. |

I paid $24,040 for my new 860 in Feb of this year had 42 miles on it and was listed for $30,040 so was able to knock them down 6 grand. they had it on the lot for a bit and was willing to deal.

$24000 before taxes and reg for '17 86 with TRD springs and spoiler. I probably could have gotten a cheaper price for some models that were sitting on the lot for over a year. I settled for a newer 17 model built in October.

$35,500 Australian dollars for the 2013 86 GTS (Premium model with the HID lights, BRZ premium climate control console, Leather/Alacantara heated seats, GPS headunit and a few other differences. Basically the FRS Monogram edition. )
35.5k sounds like a lot to pay, but trust me. In 2012 a 370Z cost almost double that and an NC Miata cost 45k. |

This was the sticker price. I got a very good trade in on the Prius which we bought from the same dealership- that and financing terms was where the haggling took place. The special color is Halo (pearl white) and a pin stripe down the side. Other than that, base model. |
I paid 24700 plus tax last October for a 17 86. Could be cheaper because they don't sell well here in CNY.

I got my car for $17,650 (Rough Number)
Mine was a "Toyota Certified" 2013 FRS with like 38k on the clock when I pulled it off their lot. The dealer had it posted online for like $15,500 on cars.com but when I went in person they wanted like $22k after some "Certification" bullsh*t lol. Talked them out of it and took her home. for where I live $17.5 is pretty high for that kind of mileage. You live and you learn. |
I feel like I got a pretty good deal from Serramonte Subaru in CA Bay Area. I am sure others have done better but I ended up paying 26.3k (before tax, license, fees) for a 17 BRZ Limited with Performance Package. MSRP was 30,260. Literally didnt even have to haggle, just asked them what their best price was online and that was it. They wouldnt budge and no one else would beat it, so that was it. Got it with the 1.9% APR as well.

I bought the car with about 30,000 miles on it from a Nissan dealer (Asphalt, Automatic, 2013 Base).
Out the door (taxes, dealer fees, etc.) - I paid $17,300 (Edison, NJ). It was the first time I bought a used car, I think if I was a little more experienced / savvy I could have shaved some more off the price but for when I bought it I think I did all right... From what I've seen prices have come down $1,000 - $2,000, if not more, from 2013 (in NJ) so keep that in mind when factoring in what other users on here have paid... |

I paid $15,450 + tax, title, fees, etc for my certified used 2015 FR-S with 49,000 miles last month. The previous owner had put a "custom" exhaust on it that was loud as hell and sounded terrible, so it had been sitting on their lot for 70 days. They were pretty desperate to get rid of it and I think I got a pretty good deal on it.

I paid $17,900 CAD (~$13,500 USD) for my 2015 FR-S. Car was in absolute mint condition since it had only about 33k km (20,500 miles) on it. The previous owner took such good care of it that the original factory door sill protective plastic cover is still on the car. The paint was nuts too - just extremely well taken care of. Even still had that "new car" smell.
Guy hadn't done any mods to it outside of some weird stuff with the tail lights (which I swapped for Valentis anyway), so it was a pretty safe and instant buy for me. I think I got a fantastic price on the car considering its age and mileage. |

Lease takeover
I went with lease takeover.
Took over 4 years lease with 2 years remaining. With lease, people less incline to do mods. My was 2016 FRS pure stock with 16,000Km And I have seen few leases takeover offers with extremely low mileage. I guess a lot of people get it as a toy but could not leave with it or had family, kids etc. After paying lease for 2 years and buying out car my full price will be under $24,000 CAN ($18,000US) (this is tax in) This is option you can investigate. |
I bought mine in March 2017, from a Toyota Dealer in San Francisco.
~38k miles, 2013 Argento base 6MT FR-S, certified pre-owned (warranty!). Clean carfax, 2 previous owners. Sticker was 16.7k, out the door was 18.6k or so. |
2013 series 10. 2 owner clean title 58k on the odo. It was 14.8k out the door tax everything.

For anyone interested in a new leftover 2018, a friend at TMNA Plano sent some interesting info.
Dealers were issued a final factory credit of $3,500 on any unsold '18's in stock on 10/02/2018. Hypothetically and if you're a good negotiator, you could buy a new '18 at dealer cost less $3,500 less any regional incentives.* For example (invoice is estimated but close, will vary by regional advertising assessment), an '18 GT that invoices at $27,000 could be had for $22,000 ($27,000-3,500-1,500 customer cashback in my region) and the dealer would still make about $1,000 in holdback and finance reserve. *We'll be seeing "below invoice" pricing on '18's going forward and it's true but the dealer will still be making a healthy gross profit even if selling $1K below invoice. This is the last factory to dealer incentive ever on the '18's so if you're interested, this is a good time to make your move. Of course, this will also depress the value of prior year '86's so it's a good time to trade or sell before the lower value is reflected in updated valuations. |
Bought a 2015 with 90 miles on it (considered used) for $21.5. MSRP was $26 and change.
