And this one...

Khyron686 07-24-2012 05:07 PM

These are my #1 rim choice but alas you can only get them in Japan for like 800$/wheel + shipping. Ugh.

quik1987 07-31-2012 08:24 PM

weight is 15.0 lbs

I would buy these wheels in a heartbeat if they made them in better sizing.

MattQ-WP 08-31-2012 08:47 AM

Awesome rim.. looks too small

Khyron686 08-31-2012 01:58 PM

Anyone found anyone carrying them in North America?

Nick Graves 09-08-2012 04:27 PM

Oh, what a poirfect fit! Gorgeously light - almost ethereal.

My favourite x 1,000.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but BBS updated the sizing for these wheels. People with deep pockets might be particularly interested in the 18x9 +45 option.

Yes. 19" BBS wheels for the Sport Premium concepts. Not sure if they're this specific model of wheel though. The BBS Japan wheels are wholly unique vs. the BBS Germany wheels.

Jedi1 01-31-2013 11:36 AM

BBS, Always sexy... ALWAYS INSANELY EXPENSIVE!!!

For some reason the bbs website doesn't have these wheels listed. Are these discontinued?

Is there a reseller (preferably with online shop) of BBS Japan wheels in the USA or Canada who also ships internationally? I like the RF wheels (would likely go for 18" though) and would like to enquire. Thanks for some leads and links.

Mobius357 02-06-2013 07:44 PM

I love these wheels, but damn I couldn't cough up the cash for them though.

Nengun.com advertises BBS RF wheels with shipping to the USA.

They currently list only the 17x7 size in their new wheels section, but their auction parts section shows a variety of sizes, including 18s. It looks like they might be acting as an intermediary for Yahoo Japan auction sales to the USA, including auctions of new parts.

I've never bought anything from Nengun. It would be interesting to hear from anyone who has recent experience with them because they seem to carry a lot of other parts too.

Ro_Ja 05-02-2013 07:55 PM

Check with Mastermind North America. They will probably be able to get you the wheels.

BRZebra 05-03-2013 01:49 PM

I finally found a website with weights for these wheels.

According to www.japantune.co.kr/main/8276 ...

BBS RF 504 (17x7.5 +48) weighs 6.8 kg (15.0 lb)
BBS RF 507 (17x7 +48) weights 6.5 kg (14.3 lb)

Those might be slightly conservative specs because this guy posted photos of his RF 504 wheel weighing only 6.6 kg (14.6 lb):

^ weights on the 18"s?

BRZebra 05-16-2013 03:38 PM

I looked extensively and couldn't find the weights for 18s, but would you really pay 50% more for that size? I think one of the advantages of the BBS RF design is that it looks larger than it is, due to the long slender spokes.

JimmyMac 05-16-2013 10:34 PM

I'm thinking they are around $700~800 (retail) per wheel, but some dealers in Japan are selling them for around $400 per wheel. Not sure on shipping costs.

If you really saw some for $400, please post a link. Even with the weak yen that would be a surprise. And retail on the 18s is definitely 50% higher than the 17s, per the BBS website.

Express Mail Service (EMS) shipping should run $400-500 to the US. On the bright side, it only takes three or four days!

Thanks, but I already saw that one. I thought you had found some closer to $400 each.
