Oops, Twin involved in crazy Daytona crash

Daytona Bike Week 2018. Silver twin destroyed.

Details sketchy, but sounds like someone crashed into several parked vehicles/motorcycles.

Dam. Hope no one get hurt.

Tcoat 03-13-2018 07:27 AM

Looks like the FRS driver was at fault.

Daytona Tard Week, 'nuff said. Smashed HD's are never a bad thing.

LOL, "use a helmet".

You're a real tough guy huh?

I looked at your posts, you're a nasty little troll. I can promise you'd only say stuff like that with the protection of distance and the anonymity of the internet.

NOHOME 03-13-2018 11:33 AM

I know what thread the FRS owner wont be posting in!

mazeroni 03-13-2018 11:36 AM

No obligatory "is it totaled?"

****

Edit: Is that a Series 10? From the video it kind of looks like it.

It's the way kids are these days. Internet tough guys brought up on computers talking to people in ways they never would in real life. Everyone has an anonymous mentality. Probably explains the school shootings too. Sad days we live in.

It's not hard to understand that a lot things on the internet shouldn't be taken very seriously. Blaming the internet for school shootings is like blaming movies for rape.

I didn't blame the internet. Blaming the internet would be like blaming guns.

ermax 03-13-2018 12:51 PM

Just because it's the internet doesn't mean people should be douchebags. The problem is it spills over into real life (for example, school shootings).

No, I get butthurt over people implying that motorcyclists getting killed in Daytona would be a good thing.

These were parked bikes, I don't think anyone was hurt, but perhaps the FRS driver was. I hope they were not hurt badly.

I would have never posted here except it had some relevant content.

If I saw this posted on a motorcycle website wishing ill will on the FRS driver I would have done the same.

I've expressed this before ...... however, it seems appropriate to say here again.

I think the difference between back-in-the-day (pre internet) and today is that back then, there was less anonymity.

For example, when car guys would gather to talk car stuff, it was usually down at the local corner gas station.

If one person said something off the wall ...... he had best be prepared to support his view. Like, either be prepared to race his car or defend himself, if a gravel scrapping session broke out ......:paddle:

Get ma drift ...... :D

Spoken like an anon tough guy on the internet. LOL at clowns like you who imply violence in response to mere words.

Edit: Ah, your instragram provides clues to your response.

I'm 55, and I have no problem talking to people face to face. It's odd that I'm not the one to imply violence in response to someone speaking their mind, yet I'm the "internet tough guy".

LOL, I guess.

Nobody cares about your internet personalities people!

Back on topic!

Nobody mentions the "curse" anymore! It was never really a thing, but thought that was interesting. Nowadays we just take twin crashes as normal occurrences! :iono:

Well they are normal occurrences. Cars crash all the time. Well more accurately drivers crash their cars all the time since the cars do cause it. I doubt we have more crashes than most other cars and actually are probably at the very low end of the spectrum if we narrow it down to the "sports car" group. There used to be way more crashes reported on the DSM and Evo forums I was on. Can't even imagine the reports on a Mustang forum.

I think the curse was related to boy racers trying to be all initial D because of how Toyota marketed these cars.

Queue Eurobeat.

FIFY I think? ;)

Anyway, that's a very strange orientation for the twin to end up in... Very confused as to how it plowed over a line of bikes forwards and ended up sideways.

Edit: just looked at gunman's post. Picture in link seems like the van and whichever twin collided first?

The comments in You Tube indicate that the car was going at a high rate of speed and hit the van. Probably then spun out and went off the road hitting the bikes. The damage to the car sort of supports that.

Hey, this is a G forum, no need to be bringing up your preferred sexual positions.

(Say it in your head with a slow sexy voice, it works)

I'm not overly offended by it, I was just saying I doubt if you would say that to many motorcycle riders in person.

I'm not a tough guy, but I'm also not an asshole that wishes ill will on others.

I said HD's, not HD riders.

55 or not and violence or not, I seriously doubt you would show up to an HD meet and tell them it's a good thing if their bikes got smashed. That was my point.
