CosmisRacing Sent Wrong Order

So I bought a set of wheels for my car
it came in 2 different packages
the 18x11 came correct but they sent me the wrong color for my fronts 18x9.5

I tried contacting them today but I'm guessing theyre closed til Monday. I'm wondering am I going to have to pay to ship it back? It's not my fault they sent the wrong order but I never dealt with returning something that was wrongly sent.

Any insight will help, please and thank you

Impureclient 03-10-2018 09:24 PM

Sorry, it's the weekend. You're going to have to call it a loss this time and try another vendor for the right wheels next time.
The two wrong ones might sell in here for a huge loss but at least you'll get something back from it.

You'll have to sue them but they probably have bigshot lawyers. Maybe write a nasty email to them saying you are coming to get them and it might scare them into doing the right thing?
Also, threatening a business with arson is always a way to make them see your way.

RETURN POLICY

Any return must be within 7 days of receiving the item. Wheel(s) must be brand new and unmounted for return. There will be a minimum restocking fee of 10% depending on condition. Buyer will be responsible for shipping both ways.
Not sure how strictly they'll enforce that if they were really at fault, I'd expect you'd be able to get them to waive the restocking fee and get them to pay shipping. Just wait until Monday to hear back from them and keep the wheels packaged in the meantime.

this seems alot more reasonable, thank you

Impureclient 03-10-2018 10:13 PM

Now is not a time to be reasonable! Think the most irrational thoughts you can because this weekend you need to plan for the coming storm. They are going to push back so hard you need to be on your toes, brother.

Nah, I'm just joking. Everything will be fine. They sent the wrong item, they're in the wrong and they will take the wrong ones back and make it good., This is pretty common when ordering online and there's no need to worry. :D

My suggestion is attached.

Impureclient 03-11-2018 03:20 AM

Is there a doctor in here that can surgically remove the stick out of a butt because somebody in here has one way stuck up there.

Tcoat 03-11-2018 04:03 AM

I do hope that there is a RB kit or something similar on the car.

86geek 03-11-2018 05:44 AM

Whoas! I was checking out their wheels. I'm glad I decided not to buy from their website. Still haven't made up my mind what brand wheels to buy. ;)
OP hope it'll get all resolved with you paying nothing to return it to them.

ZionsWrath 03-11-2018 07:22 AM

This escalated quickly, its sunday and you didnt even talk to the vendor. What makes tou jump to conclusions?

This instant gratification stuff is really catching on

See if there is a phone dial app thingy on your phone and call during business hours. Give them a reasonable chance to respond? Like a whole business day, maybe even two O_o

Wtf, I read almost every thread on this forum. I just commented its a little extreme to suggest ignoring someone after one off handed comment that was clearly sarcasm. Please believe this forum has plenty more interesting characters to pay attention to than you.

I think you have the answer there. People who have phones stuck to their faces expect others to be the same way.

OP, band saw the incorrect wheels in half, post pics, return to dealer.

I never said "I expected them to answer me right back" I'm clearly just asking for opinions and insights if anyone ever went through an exchange process before. I wanted to be ready in what I'll have to face and go through before they get back to me. Sorry if it seems I'm hasty on the situation but I just like to know and be ready, even with the most simplest situations at hand, it's better to know more than none at all you know? Thank you anyways

The big problem is you can not get an answer to that question on here. If it was their fault then they should exchange them with no cost to you. Should does not mean will though. If it was some how your fault (clicked the wrong colour or such) then you would be on the hook for any exchange costs since they just sent what you ordered. Either way it is just a simple human screw up and these things happen every single day.
Different companies (and even individuals in them) act differently so other people's experiences with exchanges mean nothing. Just give them a call tomorrow and let us know how you made out.

Oh and you do have a body kit to handle the sizes right?

oh i have the evidence that i chose the right color and sizes, it shows on the digital receipt also. so im ready to go through the exchange when they contact me back now. and yes, i have a v2 rocketbunny kit.

fatoni 03-11-2018 03:32 PM

either way, keep the forum informed. always nice to know what companies to steer clear from.

This is exactly what I am talking about.

Simple mistakes happen. This thread is started quite prematurely and the language suggests something malicious has taken place.

Take a deep breath and relax, everything will be OK :)

I think we are all amazed an adult human has never had to do this before! You've been lucky so far.

Only the 3rd time you've bought something online? How is this possible?

PetrolioBenzina 03-12-2018 12:09 AM

Try email first, OP. Gives you an opportunity to make sure you are polite and don't sound like an ass or are pissed off. Don't mention all the various forum(s) you posted about this on, some vendors get real hot seeing they've been crapped on for two days before they even know a mistake was made.

There was a story about an active shooter and massive arson damage a while back at the CosmisRacing factory.

No doubt on the following Monday (the thread was made on a Saturday) the company received the message said "Oh our mistake" and sent him the right thing. The thread itself was a massive over reaction but you managed to outdo it by a couple more levels of magnitude.

Yeah, wrong wheels sent and then a triple homicide and millions worth of fire damage. You never know what people will do when the weekend comes and they have the wrong size wheels.

LOL And I was acting overreacting to your acting overreacting to the overreactions to his overreaction! If we keep going we should have built up enough overreaction energy to go to Mars.

Haha when you quoted my statement as an overreaction to my initial fake overreaction I almost had a real overreaction which lead to the millions of triple homicide active shooters on mars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that's called a positive feedback loop. :P

mrderp 06-08-2018 05:37 PM

So.... OP? How did CosmisRacing handled it?
