Swapping seats- will this work?

My 2016 FRS driver seat is all messed up, I've beaten the hell out of it (I have a Leatherman I keep on my belt that's ripped some of the seat side, and the seat is dirty because I get dirty at work). There's a guy local who crashed his 2013 BRZ and the leather seat might be a better fit for my car.

Will a 13 BRZ seat fit right in a 16 FRS?

IceFyre13th 02-22-2018 02:57 PM

yes

Tcoat 02-22-2018 04:16 PM

Yes +1

JD001 02-22-2018 04:22 PM

Yes +2, take care as the seat is from a faster car...

Depends on what colour the BRZ was.

What if the BRZ has heated seats? I read on this forum they may not be compatible

You just can't plug them in. The seat is the same.

Yeah it'll work, i have the leather/alcantara brz seats in my '13 frs. The only thing is that the airbag light will be on, but thats about it

OK, that's what was looking for! TY. I'm not going to switch if the airbags won't work. I'd rather have a slightly beaten up seat.

There is a way to rewire so that you can have the airbags on here someplace but I can't find it. May be buried in a thread on a different topic.

What about re-skinning your seat. I have a whole set of OEM skins in good condition.

My wife has a set of leather seat covers from her old prius that have been laying around. They fit but not perfectly. If they turn out to suck too much I'll contact you.
