JDM Center Armrest
I saw this armrest on ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-2013-TO...0cac6a&vxp=mtr I wonder if that's what's coming to North America this fall. |
I WANT
|
Looks sweet, I just dont know about the leather look
|
|
Yeah the leather would not match the alcantara thats in the car. It looks good tho!
|
where are you gonna put your bottle water?
|
Looks good. I like that it is configurable by slope. Does it open? Does it slide? Does it add depth to the storage (4 and 7/8ths inches is all I ask (that's what she said))?

Cool. I'm down with that. Looks like another thing to add to the list!

thats where i keep my roadies, no good!
|
Looks good but I am used to resting my arm on the E brake

It looks good, but there is no way I could justify paying $200 for an armrest, especially one that eliminates the cup holders. For $200 I will keep on resting my arm on the e-brake!
|
Sorry, noob question...how would you install the arm rest? Or does it just stick on top of the cup holder?
|
My car has a No Drinks Allowed rule so the "cup holder" was gone from day one. $200 is actually really good. I was thinking $350.
The clear marker lights are $130 and that's a very minor cosmetic piece of clear plastic. The Mini Cooper armrest is $250. Still want to see if there's a matching material version for the US and see whether it opens or not. |

Waiting for the "textured" plastic clone version of this to be released. Leather and the cloth seats will not jive well..
|
This is not OEM toyota part
It was made by a delaer in japan. |
Roadies=Beers on the ride home from work:)
|
I'm interested to see how it attaches.

As for that armrest design though, epic fail, losing both cup holders and the phone holder slot is a shitty design choice. Guess i'll just stick with my original idea of making my own arm rest, which I was planning on making just one for the drivers side that would cover the phone holder slot but leave both cup holders open. |

It's 9800 Yen in Japan. About 125 USD. I guess $200 is a fair price. |
kinda expensive just for an armrest.but i guess is a fair price considering that is a brand new high demand car and that makes all very expensive.check it out you can even get the 86 jdm wheel cool but again expensive :( http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-2013-TO...6aacf6&vxp=mtr
|
Id buy it for the price, if you want quality you gotta pay for it. However will it match our interior? Considering the GT86 interior is much more flashy then ours.

I think it would take the place of the cup holder in the center console. i.e. remove cup holder and install into the notches there. Just my guess though. |
Doesn't look OEM quality.

Google translate = "Installed, just put it on the console". |

I just wish we could move the cupholder thing forward more without disabling usage of the AUX power port.
|
even if its not an oem item i bet when toyota releases one it will look exactly the same..(except for color combination maybe)
|
i want it! XD
