I'm out this month. That day is my son's 6th birthday.

Was considering going tomorrow (19th) on my birthday around lunch time if anyone wants to join ;)

TurtleFace 01-22-2018 09:54 PM

Prmspen 01-24-2018 01:08 PM

Ultramaroon 01-24-2018 05:08 PM

also in, maybe. I'll definitely show up for food but might not be able to leave the office before 9, as is the case these past few weeks.

Put me down as a maybe. Hey @PitViper, are you going to update the list or no?

JokerPDX 01-30-2018 11:01 PM

I'll actually be there earlier in the day working on a group project for school, but won't be able to join in on the fun with you guys. This will be my first time at Sykart, does anyone have any tips or do/don'ts?

Ultramaroon 01-30-2018 11:09 PM

Go fast.

jk

fully enclosed shoes. Just having closed toes is not enough.

Pay particular attention to having your helmet strap buckled BEFORE you cross the gate.

If you end up backward or in the tires, do not get out.

Pay attention to the checkered flag.

Raise your right hand when exiting the track after the cool-down lap. (I don't remember if it's really a rule. I just know we do it.)

The cool-down lap is not a hot lap.

Don't unbuckle your seat belt until your engine is shut off.

There are more but it'll be on the video.

Micmac 01-31-2018 12:50 AM

I'm in with a friend

johan 01-31-2018 01:31 AM

I might actually make it in time, not sure - will definitely be around for food afterwards. Depends on how late you guys actually get your runs in.

Nice! Their website seemed to have a pretty good run-down of the rules, and if there is a video to watch I'm sure I won't mess anything up too quickly.

TheDrkNite 01-31-2018 09:50 PM

I’m out. Catch you all next month

@PitViper

I feel like you didn't even read the posts, you need to take this responsibility more seriously.

Prmspen 02-01-2018 05:28 PM

Am I "slightly older white guy", "tall guy", or "old tall guy"?

I want to make sure I get it right when I sign up next time.

It is a bit confusing. I feel like I should be the "fat old tall guy." You know, just to keep it clear.

Took your advice and managed to only get turned around once! Hope you guys don't make me look too bad.

I was kind of surprised that I ended up with the fastest time of the month, then my friend pointed out that today is the 1st. :bonk:

Haha... these yahoos mop the floor with me. Great peeps.

Your record will last exactly as long as the first heat for either @PitViper or @Decay107. They are phenomenal drivers.

Chen 02-02-2018 07:17 PM

Don’t worry. You won’t take as long as it takes me to qualify for 9s
