What's a good OTD price for 2017 BRZ now?
Hi All,
I'm looking to purchase 2017 BRZ in standard package. I know 2018 BRZ is coming out soon, so I was wondering what OTD price is good for 2017 BRZ now? Dealer in my area called $31,152.68 with performance package, but I think it's a bit high. Please advise. |
I'll sell you mine for $26k ;)
|
With performance package, there is a dealer in CA selling them for 26500
|
Check your local dealer ads for what they are asking in about 100 mile radius of you. What Joe Schmuck in Buttcrack Arkansas pays does not mean a thing to you. Different region's taxes and fees alone can change the price by quite a bit.

Definitely try and find cars at dealers in less populated areas. Not sure how useful it may be as we are living in different areas but I managed to get my 2017 BRZ (standard, not the Sport-tech one that we have in Canada) in mid October 2017 for 24250-ish CAD before taxes. It was advertised for 25k CAD (brand new, kms were in the 30s) but the dealer was located in a town that had a population of 30000. I also had the grad discount which decreased the price to 24.25k CAD.

I picked up a limited last month with AT for just under 28K but I flew 600 miles to pick it up.

I picked up a '17 limited manual with PP for 26,418 before taxes and fees almost 3 months ago in Northern California. You'll be able to find a price around there for sure.
|
Picked up mine with PP with short throw for 27,100 before tax and fees. I only contacted 3 dealerships tho but this dealer offered the best price and the car just got off the truck.

Yes, but I don’t think it’s an add-on option installed by the dealer. The dealer in Irvine didn't even know there is a short throw option for the brz so I think it's a fairly new option. (?) I do recommend getting the short throw tho, it makes shifting feel a lot better ( I had a 2017 86 before) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I picked up my 2017 BRZ Limited for 27ish from 30ish...sorry I can’t remember the exact amount. If you can afford it go for the limited.

@khcho19 - Try Richard Wilson at Serramonte Subaru.

The dealership closer to me really didn’t know there is such option. I purchased the car from another dealership. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I live in central Arkansas and I got my 17 BRZ Limited Manual with PP, with front under spoiler, for $28k before taxes and fees. But they are less common around here and it’s the only Subaru within 100 miles so I considered myself lucky. They actually wanted closer to 29000 after all was said and done, but me and my business partner/best friend bought two matching BRZs from them so they were pretty lenient.

Just agreed to $28.2k OTD + TTL in Seattle, WA. CWP w/ Performance Package and Popular Package #3 (~$800). Going to pick it up right now! :D
Probably could have gone lower. They didn't put up too much of a fight. |
I had a brief chat with the guy I worked with about how things were going, and he doesn't anticipate most dealers will fret having 2017 models in stock for a few more months at the very least. As with years past, anything near invoice is a good deal, and should also be achievable.
I had some opportunities not typical, but that mostly meant I didn't have to negotiate. I spent less than an hour in the dealership in total, nearly everything done via e-mail. C |

Welp, finally did it myself, first new car I've ever bought for myself, I wanted to hold out for the 2018s but while they could see it on their system, they weren't going to get anything any time before February and I just couldn't see the benefit since people were saying the 'new' stock Subaru headunit with Android Auto wasn't that great anyway.
So: Brand new, 2017 metallic grey BRZ manual Ltd w/PP and option/popular package 2. $26.8k + TTL. |

For reference, they had my particular car listed as $28,047. I told them I want to pay $26k and stuck firm until they got into the 26's which was what I was actually looking for. |
