I prefer the older style LEDs.

I think those are the new BuddyClub tails. You can see them in their recent promo video:

BC's previous tails were 'inspired' by Lambo Aventador, these new ones also look inspired by the Lambo Huracan...

Yeah they do look more like Buddy Club's than Tom's.

Original Tom's are still my fave.

While they do look like Buddy Clubs, why would Buddy Club plaster Toms stickers on their car?

Maybe just some guy that put tom's plate and badge on car.

I guess 2018 is going to be all about giving us options as long as we like one design/layout.

By the way the guy who posted this insta pic claims the buddy clubs are for sale now but I could not find them anywhere.

I think BuddyClub is the distributor for Tom's, or something. The companies have a relationship such that when I had issues with my lights, Tom's put me in touch with BuddyClub here in the states. So maybe that explains it? I dunno.

There may be a lot of truth in that. Honestly if you look closely they are essentially the same tail light but TOMS has a red lens. If you pause the buddy club video when the girl is opening the trunk and check out the tail lights you can see that they have a clear lens like the pic I posted.

I love the tail light lay out but it does kind of suck that as consumers we will be getting the same design from 2 companies. Now valenti has to come out with a similar tail layout but with a smoked lens lol.

So save money and buy the buddy clubs and just tint them red.

Does anyone have an ETA or where to buy? Some one on Instagram just recently posted his car with the tail lights on but not responding to messages or comments of where he purchased them.

They have been available for about a month online.

If you ever want anything from japan just use this site. It doesn't catch or translate all postings from the original sites it sources from, but it will get the job done for most products.

Damn, it's crazy how much more OEM the TOMs look just from having a red lens.

They are the same price

Ugh, if you're GOING to have an all-red lens, then don't put ORANGE turn signals underneath it!!! They are never anywhere NEAR bright enough once they get filtered through the red lens. LEDs emit very specific wavelengths of light. Put one color LED behind a different color lens and you're gonna have a bad time.

Turn signals/hazards are a SAFETY feature! Stop making them hard to see in daylight!

I don’t know about Illinois, but California vehicle code which probably reflects DOT law, a red or amber tail signal is acceptable. Many manufacturers come with red turn signals in the rear or white in the front.

That wasn't at all what I was complaining about. While I think turn signals should be orange, I'm not hating on red turn signals. What I'm hating on is orange turn signals set behind a red lens, rendering the turn signal a dim orange that simply isn't bright/visible enough during the day.

They look bright enough in the vids n pics.

The video is literally called "Midnight," lol. It's during the day, in direct sunlight, where these kinds of lights usually suck. Maybe they're okay, but the first photo in this thread doesn't look very promising.

That’s why I said vids, referring to more than one, and in general, IRL and for other examples in vids of all types of tails, the red doesn’t seem to matter much. Even tints and such don’t prevent a contrast or hide the signaling enough.

These will be available this week at our store. As soon as we get a set we will snap some photos and a quick video to show the color and the functions.
