It was more than 6 SEALS from my understanding. Maybe you are mixing that up with SEAL Team 6 which is the most elite SEAL team unit.

On a mission of this magnitude you are looking at ~20-25 man unit to do this job.

It was a guy. Women are not allowed into the Navy SEALs. The reward was to get info from people close to OBL that might not otherwise had done so. While the SEALs did a great job, unfortunately it was part of their duty/job description. They won't see any of the reward. Might be different if it was a group of ex-SEALs/Special ops who were mercenaries. Then they might have gotten the reward, but not as servicemen.

I believe the families might see some of the reward money at least. They did share the reward money for Saddam Hussein's capture with the unit that caught him.
