Vote Yes!

I think its a cop out from actually responding to a thread and thanking the person or commenting and keeping a thread going. I say ban it!

swarb 09-14-2017 08:34 AM

No, thanks

8RZ 09-14-2017 08:58 AM

How dare you assume there are only 2 types of thanks?? I want a "neutral thanks" button.

Infinite thanks buttons

krayzie 09-14-2017 12:00 PM

I want a Fuck This button.

Tokay444 09-14-2017 12:01 PM

It's better if it's a, "Groan" button, rather than, "No Thanks".

Yardjass 09-14-2017 12:12 PM

There should be a reputation system. Then you can just neg someone for their post and get the added entertainment of watching them throw a fit.

Oops I misread the title as No More Thanks button. This is for a "No Thanks" button like a thumbs down. Anyway I still vote to ban the "Thanks" button making people lazy and allowing threads to disappear quickly.

Fuck outta here with that MSF shit lol.

Tcoat 09-14-2017 04:45 PM

I am still waiting for the sarcastic thanks a lot button!

Slammillionaire 09-14-2017 05:05 PM

I really like the system that certain forums use (facepunch studios comes to mind) that allow you to rate posts as useful, funny, bad, zingers, etc.

Dadhawk 09-15-2017 08:56 AM

What we need is a "Oh Wow", "Man, That Sucks" or "My condolences" button for when people post things like "crashed me car" or "my dog swallowed my keys".

I always feel funny pressing Thanks on those but don't really have anything to add that justifies a post, just my thoughts as mentioned above.

Getting dangerously close to Rocket League "Nice Shot!", "Wow!", "Holy cow!", "What a save!", "Sorry!"'s.

Truly coincidence, never played it.

Impureclient 09-16-2017 02:44 AM

What about a "thanks but no thanks" button for when people cross post pictures of their new car mod in different subforums
to make sure every last person sees it or a "thanks for digging up a dead thread" button?

Ultramaroon 09-16-2017 02:58 AM

How about a "Sorry" button with a little red maple leaf icon. :D

SuperTom 09-16-2017 01:27 PM

Or "Thanks for being a D*ck" to someone trolling a thread

Teseo 09-16-2017 02:49 PM

Or "The fuck i just read"

WTF?

TLDR

Impureclient 09-16-2017 06:50 PM

Oh yeah also a "Thanks but we don't need to see a new picture of your car every day in here on every possible thread" button.

KR-S 09-17-2017 10:23 PM

If we ever have such a button, it'll give a whole new meaning to the "no thanks given" thread!

SuperTom 09-25-2017 06:08 PM

I was thinking a "your welcome" button. When someone says "thanks" on one of my posts I would like to counter thank them. Real recognize real

So you want a Canadian setting.

I'll have to look at what letters are available on the buttons. How about just "Thanks, Eh?"

Can we make sure it uses proper grammar though?

8RZ 09-27-2017 03:24 PM

Maybe he was referring to the welcome owned by the poster not that they are welcome.

bcj 09-28-2017 12:32 PM

"Nuke it from orbit!"

for "Wat 1st mod?"

Ultramaroon 09-28-2017 04:56 PM

Grammar button. I'd wear it out.
