Autocross School august 4th @ Bremerton
 

A few of us BRZs are signed up for the August 4th Autocross novice school, and I figured I'd post up the info if anyone else wanted to join us. @mechaghost and @akrazor are signed up, as well as me.

Here's the deets:
Classroom - less than an hour of "talk time"
Seat time - when not in the classroom you will be on course
Personal instruction - you get a personal instuctor in your car with you
Guided course walk - learn how to read the course so you can get fast times from your very first run
A free lunch - included in the entry fee
A voucher for a free entry to one of SCCA’s 2012 regional series events
A free weekend membership to SCCA - good for the August 5 event at Bremerton

But do I feel bad? Not really. This car is crazy good at autocross, and it needs people like you to enjoy it. :)

Yep. That's the point of the whole event, it's an autocross school for people that haven't done it before or who are new to autocross.

One of the instructors has a stock class BRZ. Perfect for people that want some good input on how to drive the BRZ, should be some good learning and conversations.

I second that Tainen More BRZ's to the Class. this is what the car was designed for so bring yours out and have some fun.

Anyone know the price for entrance for non-attendees (spectators)?

The Packet they sent me Said that spectators were free you just have to sign a waver to watch Just-in-case I guess. not sure if it was just a generic info pack or not.

Wow that was so much fun. We had an awesome showing with 4 brz's and 1 fr-s. got to kill a few cones and test the limits of the car. It was really easy to swing the back end out but just as easy to control it. Can't wait for a clear schedule so I can do it again. Thanks Tainen for posting the info and your exhaust sounds awesome can't wait to see some pics.

I had a blast at this event! It was really cool to meet everyone in person.
Sunscreen and water are your friends.
My feet and lower legs are wrecked from all the walking and standing while chasing cones.

btw: In the morning session when my car locked up all four wheels (leaving 8foot skid marks) entering the slalom it was the instructor driving. My Vibe doesn't have ABS :)
