Genesis Coupe turbo swap to brz

I have a 2.0t genesis coupe, and as we know it has a turbo in it. Would I be able to swap the turbo from the genesis into my brz?
Thanks

With enough money anything is possible. Probably a lot easier to get a turbo kit designed for this platform.

Yeah it's possible but from a cost point of view, I think most of us would agree that it would be better if you just bought a turbo kit and slap it on your car.

Lol. An Elantra engine with a turbocharger

I'm pretty sure I read the design of the engine is extremely close to the 4g63 out of an evo and many people have had great success tuning them.

At that point you might as well put in a blacktop 3SGE engine and turbocharge it. I believe it goes perfect with the associated drive train from the IS250.

That GenCoupe turbo (the 2nd gen engine, not the first gen) squeezed 24 psi. with only being de-catted and tuned with an intake. Unless you build the FA20, there's no way it's taking that much psi. I guess you could tune the wastegate for less pressure but it seems like the wrong tool for the job :iono:

Move along, he is just trolling.

Thanks for all the info guys, I'm probably just going to end up buying a kit designed for the brz. Any suggestions on a great kit?

Well you need to search the forum for sure. But if you do that you will see that everybody agrees this is an excellent turbo kit. You might need just a couple of screws from your Genesis 2.0T though. I also recommend copying over your turbo ECU tune from your Genesis instead of paying a grand to a tuner. You only need to plug a flash drive on your Genesis head unit and press the on/off button 20 times in 3 seconds. To make the copy, repeat the same procedure on your brz, after turbo installation of course. Since you have the Genesis, why not? I can't wait to see your dyno results, it is gonna be awesome!

Hell yeah dude, do it.
Here's how to do it simple and easy and you won't even have to turn a wrench.
Step 1: place for sale sign on your car.
Step 2: complete sale get money.
Step 3: buy Genesis.
Step 4: enjoy.

So you're saying to just see if the turbo will go on easy(take it off and try it)?

He's saying many very interesting things. That is just one of several.
