Suggestions for meet up time?
Anyone have any ideas for a rally point? Here is an option suggested by @pizzahead20

What time do you guys wanna meet at the rally point?

I'm in for next week, no frs this week.

Can't this week get off work at 10 tomorrow put me as a maybe for next week until I verify my schedule

Personally I'd like to meet up @ 8. It would be pretty BA to have all the BRZs and FRSs' lined up!

Is 8:30 OK? I have to come back from Waterloo :S Ill try to come earlier

I'll be coming but I have to go on my own because A.) I don't own a FT86 and B.) don't get off work until 9:30 so will probably reach around 10 pm.

Sorry to double post, but is anyone good with brakes and have tools that could help me with a quick inspection?

I've got a terrible grinding noise on my passenger side front brakes on my protege I just wanted to remove the wheel and do a quick inspection myself before getting it serviced. If its something braindead easy I figure I can handle it instead of paying to have it looked at. :S

I'm bringing beer in a cooler (unless its frowned upon) for whomever wants to give me a hand. :D

@ ERTEFA? Sure I'm good to help you out. when does it sound like grinding? When you break or all the time?

It may be the wheel bearing. Just a quick guess. Not sure if it helps. =)

At lower speeds you can slightly hear it when cruising but its REALLY noticeable when braking. I took a look at the rotor and it looks like a part of the outside edge (thats usually rusted a bit on all cars where the brakepad doesn't hit the rotor) is scraped a bit.

I hope it isn't the wheel bearing, thats a $300 job... Had it done two years ago on the passenger's side.

Probably going to have to lift at least the one side to check for either problems. :S

Wheel bearings hum usually. A way to check is if the hum gets louder on turns due to the added load (left front gets louder on right turns, right front on left turns).

If the sound came along all of a sudden, it could be a small rock or pebble stuck between the pad and rotor. Just re and re the pads and make sure the shims are aligned properly.

There were 2 other FRSs there.

No we did run into him as well as Lucas (& his STI - congrats) - no other FRS owners however.
