Matte black Vinyl frs

Matte black frs wrapped with 3m, looks good in my opinion, looks much better than the plasti dipped one i've seen.

What do you guys think? Yay or nay

meeks 07-17-2012 05:47 AM

not diggin it..maybe when its lowered with nice aggressive-ish wheels?

Moshpit37 07-17-2012 09:54 AM

I like it, but I also think it could use a slight drop and some all-black wheels.

mashal 07-17-2012 09:59 AM

Those side markers make it look hideous , if your darken all the lights it would look stealth , but right now it just screams "trying to hard" .

Pfft

FreedE 07-17-2012 11:50 AM

I dig it. Slam and add matte bronze SSR SP1s. :)

staycrushing 07-17-2012 11:55 AM

It's looks like it could work but it also looks unfinished... Wheels and drop are a must.

FT-86GOD 07-17-2012 12:04 PM

Needs slamming and rims..... Hard to hate it just yet...... LOL..... Side indicators got to go or be sprayed.......

jedichimp 07-17-2012 09:31 PM

isn't a little too late for yay or nay?

Laika 07-17-2012 09:39 PM

I think it looks great as-is.

Of course a slight drop, wheels, and smoked fender lights would really set it off.

zex 07-17-2012 11:24 PM

pretty good imo

Not mine mate

jedichimp 07-18-2012 02:52 PM

Well I was referring more to the fact that it's already been applied. But I didn't realize it was your car.

Quality looks good but I wouldn't want to wrap a brand new car.

Turbowned 07-18-2012 03:01 PM

Definitely not for me. Half the reason I'm buying a brand new car is so I can have shiny new paint! Flat black is best reserved for beaters and track sluts, IMO. But it's your car and your money.

track_warrior 07-19-2012 02:15 AM

You should have done flat gray. Flat black is so 2011!! Something like the BMW frozen gray would have looked awesome

BRZranger 07-19-2012 02:30 AM

Awesome. Way better than plastidip. Only problem is getting unwanted attention, what else you / they have planned?

Rossman 07-19-2012 09:26 PM

That looks amazing, I love it!! How much!?

WWEVOX 07-19-2012 10:18 PM

Looks good. I agree with the drop and definitely taking the edge off the side markers. But I disagree with black wheels, I'd go for gold.

MiguelAE86 07-19-2012 10:25 PM

Think along the lines of this ;)

armythug 07-20-2012 01:23 AM

Looks nice and clean. A drop and wheels would complete the look.

that's paint . . . he did a 3M wrap.

finish looks sweet but the car is not finished. the OEM rims are . . . :barf:.

Kimsey47 07-20-2012 06:44 PM

Not a fan of the matte look on the car, but I agree... MUCH better than the rigged plasti-dip version.

miodculae 07-20-2012 06:52 PM

This has already been asked but how much did this cost ? and what is projected life of the wrap before the first peeling appears ?

subatoy 08-23-2012 11:24 PM

damn! thats a beauty, of course it needs wheels, drop etc! but it's exactly what I want to do, how much did you pay?

I don't know the owner but it was wrapped by wrapyourcar.ca
To everyone asking you would expect to pay anywhere from 1.5 grand up. I would say buy your own vinyl wrap and do it yourself if you have time. (there's a diy in the guide section)
I personally would go for a deeper matte black!

Vonsamhain 08-24-2012 12:02 PM

I like the color, a lot. Not something I'm going for right now on my car, but I would in a few years when it needs new paint.

Thumbs up. Yes, spray the markers, and all lenses with a light tint, but NO gloss. It will match rather well that way, and tint tend to look a little mat if you dont polish before it dries.

milenko11 08-24-2012 05:06 PM

I want matte WRB. Let me see if i can find a pic of a WRX with it...

Matte black looks good

mattbenich 05-10-2014 05:40 PM

got any close up shots of how they wrapped edges and terminated the wrap in the edges, door handles, wheel wells....stuff like that? i am curious....
