Yeah, got it in auto because it'll be my only car for work and whatnot. Plus the ex-gf wanted to drive it if I was unavailable... :sigh:

Anyways, I got the car in white and it's auto with paddle shifters; from reviews, and having drove one in person myself, I've got no regrets...

My stick-shifting playtime is over for now...unless I decide to keep the MR-S in the end lol

Congrats and welcome to the board!

The new tips are from Canadian Tire..."Tuned Performance Exhaust, stainless steel exhaust tip" :lol:30 bucks for each; $67 for both. They're 2.25" Inlet, 4" Outlet. Inlet is a little big for our bare pipes, so you'll need to spend some time adjusting those bolts to make them look right.

These look great for now over the stock tips as they stand out alittle more; not screaming rice, but not tiny enough to be made fun of. Alternatively, you can get the JDM ones which would cost you almost triple the price if you really want that look... For me, this is just a temporary appearance quick fix until a nice axleback I want is out.

Also, I had to chase down a Crappy Tire to get these...haha, I went to three CT and none of them had these. Finally, went all the way down to Richmond's CT on Steveston Hwy and fortunately they had a few left. Happy hunting!

Opti-coating this baby this weekend! We should totally do a small meetup/photoshoot! Perhaps at QE park or down at Granville Island!...Stanley Park??

P.S. I've got a buddy who's pro with SLR cameras and he promised to take some shoots!

Mr.Jay 07-24-2012 09:23 PM

Nice looking forward to it!

Looks like a solid number of us have our cares now we should deff set up a cruise and shoot

It's just the angle of the picture that was taken. If you look directly at the front of the car, it's fine. I'll get another picture tomorrow.

DaJo 08-02-2012 12:42 AM

So added a few more things yet again...I don't think I can ever stop putting money into this thing...

Added the FR-S mud guards (Pictures of the actual guards on the car are still pending...completely forgot to take pictures of it after installation...fml)

BRZ meets FR-S
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w.../DSC_03631.jpg

It has now become a tradition for BRZ/FR-S owners to take pictures of their odometer when reached "86" to honour the 86!

Late, but congratulation on your clean White Brz..

DaJo 08-10-2012 02:53 AM

How many "86" can you find on this single receipt? Filled up after the Vancouver 86 Day meet!

FYI, this is the FIRST fill-up for the BRZ... 94 Octane, NO ethenol; from Chevron.

Update:

I ordered a spare tow-hook bumper cover for the BRZ (Only came out to be $4.55 after HST!) last week and just got it in from Toronto yesterday. Had time today, so I went ahead and tried to ghetto-style drill it for the GrimmSpeed License Plate Relocator.

It looks horrifying, I know... But I had no other tools to do it flawlessly. Anyways, had to be creative/crafty.

First I used a drill (I only had 1 drill bit size...), drill the cover and pretty much just kept drilling around to make the hole bigger. After it was done, the edges were just horrific, so I used hot glue to stick a piece of craft-foam around the edges to hide as many of the imperfections as I can... The hole turned out a little too big... but oh well. I got the extra one that I ordered!

Here are the pictures...*Warning* may cause your eyes to bleed a little. (You've been warned!)

If it's the same survey we have in the U.S. it's worth hundreds if not thousands for your sales rep and dealership. If you had a good experience with them, please take the time to do it! We make our living on good customer satisfaction ratings.

norm24 09-10-2012 11:16 AM

On top of the 2 bucks, you get a chance to win $10,000, $2,500 or $1,000. :bonk:

Did my first oil change on the BRZ today at 22XX KM...
Used OEM Subaru Engine Oil, Filter, and drain plug crush washer...

I see specks of engine metal shavings, but they don't look big enough to actually harm the engine.
