What size tires did you get with those Advanti wheels?
Those Advanti look nice. I'm planning on new wheels and doing research and stuffs.

cueball89 05-13-2017 06:40 PM

Tires are 225/45/17 continental extremecontact dw.

BxrFnd17 05-14-2017 12:45 AM

Looks great!

 looks good

BasementN3k0 07-12-2017 08:21 AM

how are you liking those wheels? i'm looking to get a set in 17x8 -35 in black.

JDM4E 02-07-2018 12:38 PM

I would love to see exactly those in black

Jpembry 01-06-2019 07:11 PM

Anyone know if these will clear PP brembos?

Not sure but you would have a better chance with the +35 offset version

Jpembry 01-06-2019 08:20 PM

That’s the setup I was looking at.. +35.. Fitment on this car is proving pretty tricky especially if you want to stay with an 8” wheel

Tirerack doesn't list them for a PP BRZ.

OZ Ultraleggera looks sort of similar and are 17x8 et48 and supposedly fit...

Jpembry 01-06-2019 10:59 PM

Yea, really trying to go with a more aggressive setup.. stock wheels are just way too sunken in for my taste, but not really sold on 9” wheel and big tires for this car with stock power.. my search continues!

Aluma007 01-06-2019 11:53 PM

17x8 +45 with 225/45s is probably what you should aim for...I'm on extreme contacts on a AT brz and its still quite a handful on autocross days...I'm wishing I'd of gone 245s with more camber for those days, but for DD, what I have is perfect, Still fun but much more stable.

If you don't want sunken in look then you want the Advantis in +35, not +45 which will pull them in

17x8 +53 to +15 offset will work.

Op, those are nice looking wheels. Fairly light weight too. Good choice!

Jpembry 01-07-2019 11:40 AM

Yes, I’m aware :) which is why I’m trying to figure out if they’ll clear the PP brakes! I didn’t realize that the OP’s post was specific to the +45, but I’m looking to go with a wheel in the 17x8 et30-35 range

86TOYO2k17 01-07-2019 12:13 PM

I have the advanti 17x8 +35 in black with 225/45r17 tires. The top of the tire is perfectly flush with fender zero poke at all, the very bottom of tire has slight poke maybe 3/4” Gives the car a nice wide stance but not too extreme. Should be 30mm wider overal.

Jpembry 01-07-2019 07:51 PM

Thanks for all of the suggestions! as I’ve mentioned the real limiting factor is brake clearance, so I will have to go with something that has proven clearance.

eastendraceshop 01-07-2019 08:22 PM

That's a great looking wheel set up! :w00t:

As far as fitment I couldn’t tell you from personal experience, but a bbk that fits in pretty much any 17x8 +35 or more offset should fit on this rim. Nothing “weird” poking, sticking, bending in/out. Spokes are pretty straight and about as thin as can be made.

In fact I just measured stock rotor clearance for you. From rotor face to closest point of inside spoke is about 2.75” and from outside edge of rotor to inside rim is about 2.15” closest point of caliber to spoke is 1.5” so if you know stock caliber/rotor compared to whatever BBK your looking at should beable to tell.

As long as new caliber is less then 1.15” thicker, and new rotor is less then 4” bigger diameter. It should have plenty of clearance.

Jpembry 01-07-2019 09:29 PM

Cool, thank you, I appreciate it!

JDM4E 01-11-2019 12:41 PM

@86TOYO2k17 Would you be that kind a post some photos of that setup? I want them in 17x8+45 in black but I am hesitant since I never seen them. The OPs photos due to angles does not look as good as I hoped.:thanks:

Sorry, never notified me of post.
This is an older pic, if weather and time permits I might be able to take another at different angle if you like.

So are they +35 or +45? They look fairly flush but your car isn't lowered so hard to tell.

Thanks. Do you have 225/45 tires? Do the rims have a bit of concavity or are they totally flat face? Can you make a photo in aligement from front the car to see the poke/inset? Thank you again :)))

Yes 17x8 +35 offset 225/45r17 wheels.

They have very slight concave maybe 1/4” at the very center but not much. Few more pics I just took.

Looks good! Thinking of going with the same setup this year. Wheels are on closeout right now at Tire rack FYI

The 17x9's are a great deal! Ordered them last Wednesday evening and they were delivered Monday.:)

The 17x8's also come in et40 which we don't have in this thread, yet.

JDM4E 01-18-2019 06:59 AM

Thank you very much. Your car looks great. I suppose you are stock height?
I love how the spokes go right to the outer edge of the rim, so they looks bigger but still 17".

Jpembry 01-30-2019 07:54 AM

Just ordered 17x8+35 for $772 shipped from bbwheelsonline.com.. they didn’t charge sales tax so it’s a little cheaper than tire rack

Jpembry 04-05-2019 06:48 AM

Just wanted to update on the brake clearance since I installed these recently. They BARELY clear the PP Brembos.. I mean barely. May run a small Spacer just to be safe. Will post pics when I get a chance

S0crates 09-23-2019 02:48 PM

Did you get a chance to take some pictures? Did you end up running spacers to be sure?
