Opened the trunk today and found this laying around. Does anyone know if this is part of the car? Most likely it's a piece that belongs elsewhere.

Looks like an adjustable leg off of something else .....:)

What's the last thing you had in your trunk ... ??

Looks like the front height adjusting leg off of a slide projector ....... a slide projector ...... the thing that showed slides .... slides, developed inside of a camera as film ..... yes, a film camera ....... oh, never mind ..... :search:

Totalled.

Tcoat 05-01-2017 09:42 PM

Adjustable knob.
Lawnmower/equipment handle bolt.
Adjustable collar fastener.
Power tool guard clamp part.
About 1,000 other possibilities but none of them involve your car.
Did you have anything in the trunk recently?

Totalled, dibs on parts

If you find one of these in there, a plumbus, then you have a problem.

Adjustment knob for the blinker fluid. Your turn signals might start flashing quickly now.

Are you sure it's not for the muffler bearing?

Wow, you're luckier than me. I finally found the rattle in my trunk... A few pieces of dog food and a 9mm cartridge. Don't ask what happened to the dog.

I hope you find out where that part goes.

Who knows? Maybe somebody broke into your car and left it there in the trunk...

Too soon? :scared0016:

If they were driving a Civic, then this all makes sense.

That is exactly what she said to me as well!

I know "your mom" jokes can be touchy but the set up was to good to pass.
