The individual age poll
Just curious to get an idea of what the ages are of those seriously/strongly interested in the FR-S/FT-86/216a as their next car. No need to post in the thread if you don't feel comfortable doing that. Can just vote on the poll. I thought this might be interesting to go along with the income poll we have going.

29, will be 30 by the end of the year.
|
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it again!!!
|

Im an old fart. (47) I bought a 1991 MR2 new in 91, then sold it for an Integra Type R in '98. This is the first car since my R that im excited about. ( I dont think I'll have a difficult time unloading my one owner ITR)

I was so close to posting up that animated gif that shows how to use the search criteria but that would be jacked up. It's so funny when people post that! :bellyroll: |
My insurance rate goes down this year :P

Yeah I saw that. You can still flame me for the rest of the evening for the new thread if you want. :party0030: But after that lets be friends, ok? :slap: I think the poll really makes it easy to get a general idea of who frequents the forum (I guess at least who wanted to answer the poll question). Seems like we have a good spread of ages, but obviously more of the younger crowd. I'm sure the price point will dictate who ends up driving the car as if it hits the low $20k we might get some more teenagers/college kids driving it vs. hitting upper $20k range and more the post-college graduate/30-40 year old range. Be cool if the car is able to hit both markets. |
This poll made me depressed...
I would gladly pay more insurance to get back 10 years. LOL! |
26 in no time...

pretty interesting results... you 18-21 year olds are pretty well off i'm guessing. no broke college students here...

alot of people are prolly just dreaming about the car, or wanna dicuss stuff.. they wont own it. ANd argue with me all you want but this is the cold hard truth. Don't believe me, Make a poll that says your age and if you have 25K to blow next year. Im sure the demographic would be 22 and Up and or my parent's are paying for it, or I'm rich to begin with. |

I'm considered well off but there is no way my parents will buy me this, and there is no way I'll be able to afford a car for at least several years, but I am certainly interested and hopefully will be able to pick one up then. It's just exciting to watch a cool car like this come out :D |
just turned 22 a few weeks ago
|
wow ! who is over 61 here?

I'm 19, don't expect to be able to buy this car new in the release year, but depending on how much the prices will drop, I'm hoping to get a used one within the next few years after release.
I stay on the forums because I want to show my interest in the car to Toyota, and because I want to see the modding potential of it when it comes out and some of you richer people actually buy one to mod a little. I'm also wanting to hear any more information about new cars from Toyota, which I'm hoping this car will bring about the return of the 'sporty' Toyota like the 90's. |
Just wanted to mention this on a side note, but I'm not sure what "individual age" is supposed to mean.
I made my poll "individual income" because a lot of people will total their household income, or combine their income with their spouse and say they make $100,000 a year when really one makes $60,000 and the other $40,000 ;) |
lol 60k , i'd like to have that job
I'm 22 btw |
I will be turning 31. I've always wanted a fun brand new car (most used sports cars were probably abused a little here and there). Hopefully it's Toyota reliable and has lots of upgrade options, for then I would be happy to own it for maybe the rest of my life.
|
26, hope I don't get too much older before they release it. Not sure I'd want a first year model anyway. Then there's the test drive... maybe just keep saving for an Alfa 4C if it doesn't impress.

By watching and listening closely to the video conference. They're aiming for buyers of the age of 25-30. These are the people who have good jobs/careers going after college. This worries me. The car could cost $30k. Making a daily driven, weekend worrier /track car. They know who they're aiming this car towards. If its anywhere near $26-$28k with very little power. I think it would be a dumb buy.
Hmmmm |
Yeah, whaap is 76.

Haha, I'm the only one who's 17 (as far as the poll says...)
