Passenger's Auto Window Scroll
Occasionally when depressing the window for the passenger side the automatic lowering doesn't work.
I've found that I had to slowly engage the automatic or else it just stops when I let go. Has anybody else found this? I vaguely recall someone else posting about this but I figured I might as well post seeing as we have a Issues section now Edit: The Power Cerritos Service Dept is aware of this issue :X Nothing as of yet - leme hear from you guys when you guys hear something |
Same here.
All the fucking time. It only works on mine probably 50% of the time
Same here...only the passenger side. It does it going up or down if I don't hold the switch for a second.
Have you guys contacted Toyota/Subaru?
I keep forgetting to mention this. The passenger window Auto is a lot harder to engage than the driver's side (from the driver's door controls). I was wondering if it was a quirk of my car or more widespread but I kept forgetting about it.. I'll take it to my dealership and see what they say.
Mine works fine...100%
I have the same issue. Sometimes auto up/down works, sometimes it doesnt. Its frustrating.
Im taking my car in for service this week, at which point Ill mention it to the SA. |
same here

Yep happens to me all the time
Same with mine. Quite annoying.
me too
but i figured it was just me not fully pressing it because it happens to me when i try to put them both up and down at the same time |
Same "issue" here but I always thought it was me not hitting that switch just right. I'm going to try to be more conscious about it today.
For some reason I always feel regretful when I arrive somewhere and go to roll up my windows and realize the passenger one took a quarter second to roll up because it was never even close to fully down. All that extra wind that could have been in my car...just gone. Anyways.... |
I've definitely been paying attention to how I press the button since day one. It's not me, it's the car not fully registering.
Yup. At first I thought I wasn't pushing it far enough to engage the auto feature, but I guess not.
yup lol :(
Yep, usually have to press it 2-3 times for it to go down automatically
mine does it too, passenger side only. somewhat of a nuisance.
the drivers window also makes a epic screech when wet sometimes too haha. could be worse... |

The easy fix I found is hold the passenger switch a split second longer. |
Same!
Of course
I'm having this issue with my BRZ too.
I also have this problem. Thought it was just me. Guess not...
lol I had this same issue too in till i realized that the buttons actually have a 2nd step for auto up and auto down and they are also at a angle having your reach for the passenger side one a little further with your index finger.
Same here, only really seems to be an issue going down, up works fine.
I've got a lot of experience triggering passenger's auto in other cars with exactly same setup except this car doesn't properly engage 100% of the time :(
I had the same problem but now my passenger side window wont' go down at all! The light behind the button is also out. Taking it in this week to the dealership. Might not be related...just strange coincidence.
For me it's just a little picky with how long you hold down before releasing.
Certainly works on the 2nd try if not the first. |

You press the down control for the window all the way to trigger the automatic mode. but it doesn't continue to lower when you let go. It's pretty entertaining when you see the driver's window continue to go down while the passenger's stops. |
down no... up fml almost every time
I thought I had this problem, Began making SURE I was pulling the button for the auto up and haven't had issues since. I think it was Just the length of time that u need to hold it. I don't hold it for that long at all, but certainly when it didnt work I was more just flicking it.
Believe someone mentioned it's how long u hold it for too. |

I remember that happening on a lot of rentals we've had. If it happens to everyone, I think it was meant like that for a reason, because I hate it when I want the window down only a little and it goes down all the way by it's self |
I noticed that this only happens when I'm opening both the driver and passenger window at the same time. Other than that it works flawlessly.
Yep, I'm having the same issue... I thought it was just me too - when I notice it, if I take a moment and hold the button for a second, then it works just fine.
