Tomorrow I can imagine.... at 1:50 pm 10 mins after. It will probably be a huge amount of rage, or a huge amount of joy.

Archer256 04-19-2011 01:36 PM

People better not be QQing about the exterior or badge, if there is any rage it better be because the interior looks like a piece of shit.

just sayin

Ryuu0u 04-19-2011 01:37 PM

I will QQ a storm!!! Then maybe check my bank account to make sure i have enough for the down payment.

SUB-FT86 04-19-2011 01:55 PM

Im expecting the same car with scion badges so im not too excited unless we get info on what lies beneathe the sheetmetal

Dark 04-19-2011 02:23 PM

No surprise.

I hope they show us a full production model (inside/outside/under the hood) and specs.

Midship Runabout 04-19-2011 04:08 PM

More interested in final specs than badge

I'm not betting on it, but a little more information would be nice.

I have already decided that if this is my next car, it will be the Subaru not scion. To bad, I was really into getting a toyota.

:happy0180: Cheer.

enc0re 04-19-2011 05:19 PM

I'm hoping that we'll get to see the interior. Although I expect they're saving that for Tokyo.

Fortunate Few 04-19-2011 05:20 PM

i hope they show the interior

They should make it MUCH better than the current tC's interior, or it will be a failure INSIDE.

blur 04-19-2011 05:33 PM

Who cares about interior, sheesh, this isnt a luxury car . . .

enc0re 04-19-2011 05:38 PM

I care way more about the interior than the exterior. That goes for any car. I barely get to see the exterior of my cars.

i care... if its all cheapy(is that a word?) then you're gonna be hearing a bunch of squeaking and the sound of plastic hitting each other after you go over reflectors

I dont have reflectors on my roads, so I dont have to worry bout that! lol.

As long as the seat is comfortable (like rx8) and the stick shift feels good, any interior will do for me.

Archer256 04-19-2011 06:03 PM

Interior is going to make or break this car for me, not gunna lie. If it's tC level, sorry ill hold my car for a few more years. IMHO the interior should match the Gen coupe/350Z or whatever

Crashoverride 04-19-2011 06:07 PM

I love the interior they had in the red one I hope they keep that one.

CyberFormula 04-19-2011 06:17 PM

this is still a concept??

The interior also weighs heavily for me, but not for any luxury reasoning. Simple aesthetics with decent construction will offend nobody. I don't care if the materials are cheap as long as the ergonomics and aesthetics aren't distracting. They could take a Miata interior and slap a Scion badge on it and I'd be thrilled. :happyanim:

I think the tC has a nicer interior than the 350Z. Now the 370Z interior is acceptable.

If the interior is Celica level (or better), I'm good.

+1. I want to be comfortable in my car and not drive around in a plastic box that rattles.

I'm pretty much hoping for something between the celica and the gen coupe. Comfortable seats, an asthetically pleasing/ and properly layed out center stack, nice readable (hopefully blue) gauges. And I'm good to go

Mr.Jay 04-19-2011 06:39 PM

the better give out some solid numbers

all this speculation is driving me crazy

Are you guys talking about the GT-S but updated to 2011? Like same "level" of quality? Cause the GT-S while great for it's time period looks a bit outdated to me. I want it to be a little more up-to-date.

iff2mastamatt 04-19-2011 06:47 PM

Even if it were an Altima or Accord interior, I'd be cool with that. I'm not a huge fan of the digital speedo like in the Prius or Civic, but that won't be a total deal breaker for me.

Mr.Jay 04-19-2011 06:56 PM

I don't mind a digital speedo

just no stupid double decker instrument panel like the new civics pleasee

From what I hear, the gen coupe has some of the most uncomfortable seats ever. I wouldnt want them in the 86.

Interior Im definitely not worried about though. Its not like toyota is stupid enough to put a rattling interior in their flagship, most expensive model for scion.

When I test drove the Genesis Coupe I didn't have any problems with the seats. I was only in it for 20-30 min, but they felt fine for that. Someone who has driven one longer probably has a better experience of them.

The quality of the interior isn't dictated by this being the "flagship" of Scion if that ends up happening. The price point of the car will dictate that as well as the design group that does the interior. There are examples of many cars in the mid $20k range that have decent interiors and others that have crap for an interior. Just hope that Toyota gets this one right.

That is one hell of a sentence to say. I thought I misinterpreted it.

Good point.

Zorro 04-19-2011 10:39 PM

I hate the stupid digital civic layout. I want a sporty yet sosifistcated interior ala 370z.
http://www.tuning.sk/images/news/nis...san-370Z-7.jpg

minus the automatic...

john 04-19-2011 11:03 PM

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the STi interior. It's so simple.

I really want to find out what engine is going in this thing. I'm worried that instead of a dedicated performance motor, it'll just be a mildly (exhaust and slight ecu reflash) improved FB25 at 180ish hp for cost reasons.

They've done an exceptional job keeping the motor hush-hush.
