Scion boost card?
I checked the mail today and i got a package from Scion with 3 cards called Scion Service BOOST cards. It has my vin and my car type on it.
Anyone else get one? |
I got one today as well
Got one 2 days ago
Is it just for Roadside Assistance or what?
actually there's a slot in your dash where you put it in and it's like a shot of NOS...
EDIT: but really let us know what it is! |
It's for your complimentary maintenance and roadside assistance. It gives you your VIN in an easy to find location so if/when you need service or roadside assistance, it's easy to find. I got mine a few days ago as well.

Got mine a couple days ago as well.
Yep got mine
Mine came in today's mail too.
My current address is temporary and my perm address is ~2 hour drive away :/
don't think I got anything .. Why does it say: Oil Type: FR-S |
That looks like a token that you need to give to the scion dealership for your free scion maintenance things that are part of that Scion BOOST maintenance plan thing..

Got mine as well. Kinda nice of Scion to send this.
Haven't seen anything yet :iono:

It takes about 1 month after the car is "RDR'd" (sale reported to TMS) for the packet to come out. You still have the 2 years/25k scheduled maintenance (7500 miles intervals, synthetic REQUIRED) and 2 years Roadside assist if you get the packet or not. It is listed in the Service History and is currently included on all new Toyota/Scion vehicles sold in the US. I don't think this applies to Canada or the rest of the world. This program came about a few months after the recalls hit in 2010. It was included on all new Toyota vehicles. Scion started with the first 3 (5k, 10k, 15k) included, but was adjusted to the first 25k to match the Toyota program. This occurred in November of 2010 (give/take).

Considering this, FRS maybe quite cost effective than BRZ. It is on Scion website btw.
They just sent me a letter in the mail saying im gtting a new boost card due to the error on the oil. :D
I got mine today as well. Only according to Scion, my name is Dennis, instead of Dustin... lmao.

I was very sadly mistaken... |
I've had my car for about a month and still have not received a 'boost' card. Does it offer anything outside of the regular 2 year maintenance plan?
Got 2 sets
The first set they sent had the Oil Type as FR-S instead of synthetic. lol.
Yeah I got mine in the mail a week ago and the oil type was mislabeled. They overnighted me a letter saying, "Please disregard the previous pamphlet, your oil type is SYNTHETIC. We will be mailing you out a replacement card shortly."
Got mine too, didn't really pay it no mind though.
I got them as well. I think it takes at least a month and a half to get them cause they are personalized and sent via like 13th class mail.
I believe they were all printed incorrectly and then "retracted".
I was a little disappointed because I thought it meant that at every oil change we got a fresh FR-S with new oil in it. :bonk: |
Didn't get mine either but had the car for less than a month.
I got mine as well. I thought it was funny that it has "Oil Type: FRS"
I didn't know they had branded oil. *rolls eyes* |
Mine finally showed up a couple days ago.
