I actually think this wheel is one of the better looking ones for the BRZ-- which is unusual because this many-spoke style is not my forte.

dsgerbc 07-13-2012 07:57 PM

I'd sell a kidney for these.

You and me both. It's a shame that you can find forged wheels for cheaper.

G4mb17 07-13-2012 08:38 PM

I've talked myself into getting some, likely gunmetal, although I just want to be sue they don't look too crap if/when they get curbed.

These aren't Subaru Impreza WRX STi 2008+ wheels.

These are STi branded parts that are made for every Subaru with a 5x100 bolt pattern.

STi makes parts for every Subaru.

:sigh:

These wheels made by Enkei for Subaru Technica International are 5x100 PCD, 56.1mm hub bore. The wheels that come on the Impreza WRX STI (USDM 2005+)are 5x114.3PCD, 56.1mm hub bore (BBS forged, Enkei cast, and Subaru cast). The above pictured wheels do not come on the Impreza WRX STI; they don't come on any car, actually. I again repeat that they are 5x100 PCD. There are no spacers involved. Please check your information before posting.

That's right I forgot about that, I don't pay much attention to stuff in JDMland since we rarely get any of it

For STIs '05 and newer have 5X114.3. '04's have 5X100, which are the ones that I have and are the lightest wheel made for the suby's due to the hub size. ;)

I am tracking that, this looked like one from the newer STi. You have them on an 86? If so pictures

I don't have them on an 86. They're on my suby. 15lbs forged 17X7 et48. I painted them graphite.

Very nice looking wheels. I'm afraid for the price (which I'm assuming is $5-600/wheel), I'd rather buy some legit Advan, SSR or Volk wheels. After having a set of GR STI BBS wheels with many spokes, I'm never doing that again. Wheel cleaning nightmare!

Thanks. Luckily, I only paid $600 plus an exhaust that I didn't want when I bought the wagon in '09. It had 90% tread on the SO-3's.
Yes, I agree with cleaning them is a hassle which is why I painted them graphite.
Also you can wax the wheels or seal them to help the brake dust to not cling to the finish. ;)

Don't
Specs above are incorrect, these are +53 offset, so you'll wear out your control arm bushings a lot faster.

Other specs are 17x7.5 and the weight is about 16 (15.7) lbs.
They are nice wheels (got two sets, but not for anything that will be daily on a BRZ).

not sure if you're referring to my wheels. If you are..

I maybe off on the et but the '04's are 17x7. '05's are 17X7.5 ;)
Let me know if you need a pic to confirm.

The rims on the blue suby look NOTHING like the ones OP has posted?

Or were they just for size/fitment reference...

Also where are these wheels available>?

The rims pictured on the wagon above are for stock '04 STi BBS 5x100 +53 wheels. They have nothing to do with the enkeis that are being discussed in this thread. Other than the fact that they are 5x100.

They are available anywhere that has access to STi/Subaru parts. I would assume they will be an available option to the BRZ in the US eventually. But we won't know for sure until SOA releases a new BRZ/STi/SPT accessory/performance catalog.

chadr0 07-16-2012 02:07 AM

Anyone know of any websites you can order these from in the US? I only found them on the STi .jp site and I want the black ones SO bad...

Here are some more... posted in another topic by @quik1987

Jeffboyarrdee 08-14-2012 07:51 PM

Yeah i just want to get the front lip spoiler and the black sti rims. Anyone have any luck on sources?

BlaineWasHere 08-14-2012 08:44 PM

NEEDZ WIDER!

ngabdala 09-11-2012 02:20 AM

What is the widest tire these JDM STI wheels can hold? Is it 7.5 since the 17s are 17x7.5j +48mm and the 18s are 18x7.5j +48mm?

I wish 8" or more

@DarrenDriven: The car pictured in the OP is wearing the 18" BRZ STI wheels. I am posting a correct picture (my car with 17x7.5 +48 18.4 lbs BRZ STI wheels in black) more consistent with this thread's title:

DarrenDriven 09-13-2012 03:34 PM

Thanks for correcting my mixed up info! It should all be correct now:

OEM/Sti GunMetal 17s

Got some of the Sti 17s in Gunmetal, which I haven't seen in the guide yet. Here they are on my first out of town drive, on the Mountain Loop Highway, WA.

OrbitalEllipses 10-24-2012 02:24 AM

@switchlanez has these in black. And also the 18" too, I think.

Hm that gunmetal looks more dull than I thought.

yes, I have seen them in other sizes/colors, just not 17/Gunmetal. They are a little dull, they don't 'shout', which is what I wanted. I wanted a dark color, but think black looks weird - as it is darker than the tire.

17 x 7.5J, +48mm
Made by Enkei
supposed to weigh 18.4 LBS

Riki

sho220 10-24-2012 02:50 AM

Looks freakin' great! Goes really well with the car. Beautiful scenery also!

switchlanez 10-24-2012 03:05 AM

Alright someone had the courage to get the gunmetals! I've been wondering how they look. The HDR effect might be misleading. I would've picked gunmetal over silver just because silver is common. But because I have black aero pieces I had to go black to complement.

Mine are also 17" and the 18.4 lbs. figure is approximate based on subtracting the weight of the package (without the wheel) from the total package weight listed on my shipping invoice. I still want to get the weight of the wheel alone if no one else does it first. Mine don't turn out great in most pics I take (black hides the spoke detail) but with the right lighting and a good photographer, they can look better than in person. :p

And here's a rare pic of silver 17s on white which works well. I prefer the squatter look of 17" spokes over the elongated 18" spokes (like on the STI concept model).

MiniGuy 10-24-2012 03:40 AM

These are very close to Enkei RS05's but not exactly the same. I am considering them to. Very nice!!

Lee358 10-24-2012 10:42 AM

I wish they were wider tho they look amazing!
