The purpose of this thread is to compile on-car photography and videography of Apex flow formed and fully forged wheels on Gen 1 86/BRZ chassis while providing the community with detailed information surrounding wheel and tire fitment, alignment settings, brake and suspension clearances, and more. Whether you enjoy your Twin on the street, or you are a weekend warrior competing for a podium spot, our seasoned experts are here to provide advice to ensure you get the most of your wheel and tire setup.

We encourage enthusiasts here on FT86Club to also share photos of their Apex wheels, and if you do, we're sure the community would greatly appreciate the supplementary information below:

SUBARU BRZ tS TRACK CAR | FEATURING APEX 17” ARC-8 WHEELS

This insanely clean BRZ tS has exchanged caretakers since we photographed it, but it remains one of our favorites to date. As you can see from the laundry list of aftermarket parts below, the original owner, James, was not gun-shy about modifying the car. With that said, it is evident that parts were carefully selected to improve performance on and off the race track, and aesthetic modifications were carried out with an overarching theme in mind.

It is quite easy for passionate enthusiasts to get a bit overzealous with modifications, and that often times leads to a "Frankenstein build" where parts have a hard time working cohesively with each other - both from a performance and visual perspective. When that happens the car looses a bit of its identity along the way.

James really knocked it out of the park with this build, and we look forward to seeing how the new owner will carry the torch. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we did.

Check out Pasi's (pinoy_drifto) beautiful 2019 86 TRD SE rolling on 17" APEX ARC-8 wheels. Our photographer, Andrew @ buildjournal, tagged along with Pasi during his recent track outing at Street of Willow in an effort to capture this car in action. Pasi and his former FRS were actively participating in the SoCal 86Cup series for a couple of years, and he is excited about developing the new platform and dicing it up with the rest of the 86cup competitors.

Lightweight 17" wheels in a chassis specific width and offset is one of the key modifications 86/BRZ track enthusiasts like Pasi count on for maximizing performance, reducing rotational mass, and mitigating the seasonal tire budget. We caught up with Oren H. and his well prepared Scion FRS at Streets of Willow (WSIR) for a recent SoCal 86 CUP event. It is great to see Oren back behind the wheel of the number 108 car after being sidelined earlier in the season due to turbo issues. From inconsistant track conditions to components wearing out or failing, this sport is always throwing curveballs. I happen to think it is part of the appeal. As performance driving enthusiasts and racers, we are always incrementally improving both man and machine.

Tire Slayer LS2 Powered FRS - Featuring APEX ARC-8 Wheels

Many of you may have been caught drooling over ft86club member @spitsnaugle's insanely clean LS2 powered FRS, as his build thread has been ongoing here since June of 2018. Having formally owned an LS-powered 240Z, Joel is quite familiar with the art of tire slaying. This machine quickly became a favorite amongst the APEX staff, and we recently assigned Shutter Fuel Media to capture it in the wild.

Lightweight 17" wheels in a chassis specific width and offset is one of the key modifications 86/BRZ track enthusiasts like Joel count on for maximizing performance, reducing rotational mass, and mitigating the seasonal tire budget.
