mediumbrown 07-30-2012 02:53 AM

i'm really tryin' to opt for the EVO3, but a user sound clip may just persuade me, that and i'm having a hard time tryin' to wait lol

enjoyminutemaid 07-30-2012 09:53 AM

Does anyone know the differences between the GReddy catbacks?

You can just read their website. But the SP is a mufler ONLY and is 60mm piping. The EVO is an actual cat back and is 70mm piping and replaces the center muffler with a Y pipe split into two large canister mufflers.

I just hope they have a full TT race pipe system with deleted cat and resonator and only running one muffler..... That would make me very happy.....

mines13 07-31-2012 12:24 AM

Ill have mine tomorrow...

It would be only a few HP at most. I am more interested in the sound.

Sigh-on-Rice 08-02-2012 03:53 AM

Anyone had a chance record new vids?
I've never seen a derive by bids yet :/

Willsonk 08-05-2012 06:26 PM

Finally Installed it today!!!!!

4 Attachment(s)
Just installed Greddy exhaust. Took about 30 min's. Sounds great!!!

jschendel 08-05-2012 07:01 PM

I want to hear it. Looks great!!!

Sigh-on-Rice 08-05-2012 07:35 PM

I want to hear it too!

Sony 08-06-2012 05:07 PM

Mine has been shipped, I have one of the first 5 to be ordered, hopefully I will have it in a few weeks.

I own professional quality sound recording equipment (I am a stage technician by trade) so I will try and get a good quality recording sometime soon after I receive it.

Mengsta 08-08-2012 10:24 AM

really excited to hear the sound =D

Sony 08-08-2012 11:32 AM

Lol if any vendors want to ship other exhausts to me for sound recording purposes, I would be fine with this. I have a Bendpak HD-9XW Garage Lift in my personal garage so switching exhausts is no problem for me. :)

Grateful Dave 08-08-2012 08:12 PM

I just ordered a GReddy Evo 3 with the GReddy air intake system. The GReddy intake/exhaust system should add some extra kick in performance and in exhaust note that is needed.

Sigh-on-Rice 08-13-2012 02:10 PM

Any updates on SP Elite?
Any drive by vids available now?
So interested :)

Bmore_Raven86 08-13-2012 11:22 PM

post a video dammit!

TRD_86 08-14-2012 02:41 AM

Anyone know where I can buy Evo3 and have it installed at local shop in Socal ?

D1cker 08-14-2012 11:16 AM

You need to wait about 3-4 weeks for it still.

I have the Greddy Sp-Elite. Almost 200 miles on it. I can make a rev and drive-by video this weekend. I would've done it earlier but I wanted to give it some time to get louder, which it did. Overall I love the exhaust. Fitment is spot on and it only took 5 minutes to install. It also fits the exhaust cutouts perfectly. As far as the sound goes, it is really deep and throaty WOT and in the 2000rpm range when taking off from a start. Any other time it is relatively quiet. I ordered a nameless performance downpipe which should be in within the next week. Hopefully that will amplify the sound and give it some popping when I let off the gas... we'll see though. I'll post another video once I get that installed and "broken in" as well. If you're looking for "loud" then this isnt the exhaust to get... but if you want sporty and not obnoxious, then this is perfect.

thanks, can you tell a difference in performance?

getbent 08-15-2012 08:48 PM

Is there any drone? You say its louder in the 2000rpm range, does it resonate in the cabin?

honestly I couldnt really tell a difference in performance. I dont think you'll be able to feel a difference from an exhaust unless you went to a catback or a headerback with an intake. It sounds good though, which is the primary job of an axelback.

whitefrs 08-15-2012 08:57 PM

post a sound clip please

nah there is no drone at a constant speed. You can barely hear it unless you give it some gas. I'll make an in-cabin video too so you can hear what I mean. I'm busy until friday though so I'll have it up then. :)

Will do! :) It really is a great exhaust.

ERZperformance 08-15-2012 10:29 PM

Greddy makes very good exhaust system. Would love to hear a sound clip of this exhaust.

Mister_Sir 08-16-2012 10:09 PM

I ordered a GoPro HD Hero2 especially for this video. Thank me later guys and gals. It will be delivered tomorrow so if it is still daylight when I get it then I'll work on a video for the forum. :D

Mister_Sir 08-18-2012 04:49 PM

I'm editing the video now. I'll have it posted shortly! Sorry for the wait everyone. The weather here has been crummy the past 2 days so I couldnt make a decent video till now.
