Just let the name come on it's own. It will happen.
Our one cat is called Multi because when they were born my wife said "the is a white one, a black one and a multicoloured one".

Right now it's a tossup between Dufus and Shitstick. I tried Bunta, Buddha, and Bodhi...

My son recently got a kitten that is pure white except for two perfectly even dark grey stripes on it's head. The plan was to name it Skidmark. That lasted 2 days and it is now known as Dufus. It is the most appropriate name possible since Psychopath is much too long a name for a cat.
I can't wait until the day that I manage to get you to spew ice cream onto him. Moe (our other cat) will then feel vindicated!

Saved him from a life on the streets, found him at work. He used to be found sitting on pallets when the forklift operators brought the pallet down from racking.
We also call him catdog :D

Charlie is very regal. Handsome!

Mufasa was born in a lumberyard and abandoned by his mother. He was rescued by Mrs. Ultra's hairdresser's hubby who works there. He's only a month old now.

We used to rescue the feral cats in our neghborhood. All are fixed now and we are down to 6 out of like 20. Named them all by color or features (White foot cuz only his paws are white, Skiddy cuz he is scared and skiddish, Weezy cuz she had nasal problems and breathed funny). Didnt think anything of it until I made an appointment for Blacky to get fixed. Didnt chang her name but paused before giving it over the phone lol

He is a beauty!

Mine are the babies of a stray that I brought in to save from freezing to death. My son was moving out in a few months and said he would take her since we had just put down our 22 year old cat and said no more. My wife's only comment was "she better not be pregnant". She was. About 6 months later my wife calls me at work and says "the cat had kittens there is a white one and we are keeping it"

Rescued kitty. He was three days old. We're still bottle feeding him.

So at this point we are 100% rescue cats (although Finch takes first place with an untouchable lead)

Ultramaroon 12-10-2016 04:05 AM

Yeah, Finch, you rock.

finch1750 12-10-2016 04:28 AM

I'm too much of a softy. All my animals are rescues (3 dogs, the 6 cats, and a rabbit). They live between my house and my aunt's house next door. One dog is 3 legged. Someone tied to my porch and left. They must have seen all my other animals are realized what a sucker I am for them.

They provide hours of entertainment and really there isnt anything better then falling asleep surrounded by pets imo.

There is but it isn't necessarily feasible.

Whelp, speaking of falling asleep... G'night, gents. Thanks for the laughs.

Who would PAY for a cat?

Back on topic: I suggest an automotive related name with comic overtones:

Dipstick:bonk:

gramicci101 12-10-2016 08:54 PM

General Tso?

Overdrive 12-10-2016 09:10 PM

If we're going the automotive route, how about Clutch?

Or Blip?

new2subaru 12-10-2016 11:49 PM

stinker :)

humfrz 12-11-2016 12:11 AM

We usually name our cats by the way they look.

"honey" ...... mrs humfrz mostly indoors cat, honey colored cat.

"blacky" ..... my all outdoors cat, ALL black, just comes around to eat.

I would suggest "stripes" for your kitten (might have already been suggested) ....??

Great the way he poses on a pedestal. That's how many cats appear to think of themselves, "I'm special".

For years now I have talked about getting some type of animal, any type, and naming it Dave. Maybe to follow the family tradition of calling cats men's names. Before I left home, my Mom's cat was named Stan, then my sister had Clark. I had 2 red tabby brothers I adopted at age 5 already named Jason and Oscar.
