What's on your Christmas list this year?

So it's that time of the year. Santa is stocking up his sleigh, checking lists twice, and trying to figure out who deserves a shiny new turbocharger. But he's missing a crucial piece of information, he needs to know what's on your Christmas lists so he can bring all you good Girls and Boys, new, shiny toys.

So what upgrades, accessories, or parts is everyone buying for themselves, hoping to get from others, or generally want for Christmas this year?

For myself i'm hoping Santa brings me the following:

There's just so many shiny things that I want, that I just hope I've been a good enough boy for Santa.

Isn't that the truth :(. Probably will only get the wheels/tires and shift knob at most to start off the build. But this time of year is great to buy parts since a lot of the stores are doing 5-20% off for black friday and what not.

For the final drive piece which looks like a cool upgrade to do, is it pretty easy to install one of those? Anything else you have to do/get to support it?

Tcoat 11-27-2016 12:33 AM

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. There is not a single thing I want or need that I don't just go out and get when I want or need it. Makes it tough to buy for me!

You don't have anything on that list you really want right now but are holding out due to good discipline? Something like a new set of racing seats or a bigger turbo?

C'mon, share what you really want!

I wanna ha, I wanna ha, I wanna ha, I wanna ha
I wanna really, really, really wanna zig a zig ah

No really if I wanted seats or a turbo I would already have seats or a turbo. Hell, our little $300 chest freezer died last week and I just spent today installing a new fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher because to get a fridge with a bigger freezer instead of replacing the chest one we had to get stainless. Since everything else is white it wouldn't look right so...

Maybe therapy should be on your list?

This has some sort of coating on it. It truly is stainless stainless. I made them prove it worked. It did. I was surprised. Was the only way we could get the fridge we anted. Apparently they don't make things in white anymore.

Leonardo 11-27-2016 02:30 AM

My microwave just died. I'm in the same boat. It was black, but that doesn't match my stainless fridge or stove. And while I am at it, granite counters would be sweet.

Happy wife, happy life.;)

Fisher and paykal, or whatever, has a polymer coating.

Ya it snowballs pretty fast.
Well if we get a different fridge with a bigger freezer we don't need a new chest one.

Well the white dishwasher is right across from the fridge and that will look silly.

Oh the stove is just down from the dishwasher and that just won't do.

Well now, the microwave above the stove...

Samsung make great stuff, their washer and dryers are amazing. I wouldn't worry about any of their appliances. The phone has a rechargeable battery problem.

I want to install the car parts I just got. Been working too much. Oh, that reminds me...

I want a new TQ wrench. Yep. That's it.

Or you could just replace the magnetron for 30 bucks and wrap it with this. :D

Now, the kitchen window is too small, the lighting is outdated, the cabinets gotta go, the countertops are a must change, along with the sink and fixtures, the flooring is worn out and the walls will need new paint or wallpaper.

Now, that the kitchen is updated, the rest of the house is.........:(

See what you fell into there @Tcoat ..... ;)

We did all the rest 5 years ago. Did present an issue since the walls were built around the old fridge which was 2" narrower. Ever cut a 2 x 4 in half lengthways with a reciprocating saw? Ain't easy I tells ya.

Had not thought of that.

It was manufactured in April of 1996. So, not sure if I can find the right parts.

And my wife wants a different one. So... New microwave.

Maybe a Samsung like Tcoat's.

Kitchen stuff, from my experience, sounds like a good Christmas present. But it is not. Not at all. " greeeat a new Blender" (sarcastic tone) lol

Something considerably less exciting unless you consider the physics.

People jumping on the Samsung band wagon. When you dig in deeper most were installation errors and many were not even Samsung. My favorite was the one headline that said "1.6 BILLION Samsung washers recalled". I am pretty sure that they would have lived to sell 1.6 billion washers. My wife freaked out when Facebook reported that all Samsung products were exploding. It is all clickbait.

In Australia there was a recall on some models of Samsung washing machines because they were catching on fire.
