Helix sidemarker

Does anyone know why this sidemarker doesn't want to sit flush? The drivers side went on perfectly, but this passenger side marker doesn't want to sit flush... It's clipped in good and doesn't pop out, but it just doesn't sit flush. The paint even chipped off my bumper :(

Have you pushed (and I do mean really pushed) until you've heard the loud click?

If yes, I'd reinstall. Make sure the bottom clips go in first.

I've pushed on it pretty hard but never heard a click... I'll try take it apart again and take a look at the bracket that clip A goes in.

Nope no bumper sag. It's just the side marker not wanting to sit flush with bumper and fender.

One of mine does that same thing just like in your picture on the right side of my car. I quit caring about it eventually.

LED86 11-15-2016 03:21 AM

Likely not clicking in all the way which eventually means it will fall out. My videos might help.

Don't buy aftermarket junk, problem solved.

i installed new side markers on mine and the right side sticks out like that too just like my old Helix sidemarkers. same side again and i noticed my bumper is sagging quite a bit

Yep, same issue here; right side doesn't sit flush like the left one does.

Khánh 01-08-2017 03:15 AM

why can't they make these damn marker lights simple!!! haha

Captain.K 01-08-2017 11:20 AM

I swapped out the top clip that came with the side markers and used the oem clip from the original side markers and so far it's worked for me

JD001 01-08-2017 11:26 AM

Why not buy European OEM side markers? They're clear and sit nice and snug..

Okay but it would really irritate me if an aftermarket part looked "aftermarket" as in shoddy.. just draws the eye and would bother me to the point of getting rid of the said part or car...

Yea I get you, perfect fitment is what everyone wants when it comes to buying aftermarket parts.

You can beat it pretty easily with perfect fitment. My factory clears have given me no issues. :iono:

Can you provide a link? I can only find "jdm clear" and no helix branded versions. All the helix versions I can find are all $49.99+

Of course but for $120+ new, It doesn't hurt to try helix for $30 if the fitment isn't spot on you can just return them if you bought them on amazon and get a full refund.:D

I bought them from pro motoring as the "seller" once I received them they had the helix logo embedded on the face of side markers, I saw some for $60 with amazon prime and the ones I got were $28 but regular shipping. I looked up my previous orders and it shows that it's "Currently unavailable" :( sorry dude
