Otherwise, take it to the dealer if you just bought it. |

But I'll try to help. It's probably something to do with the car. maybe one of the parts on it. |
In my experience and research on forums it seems to be normal. Usually morning starts yeah? Starts up, maybe 3-4 secs later rpm drops just a little and car shakes once or twice. If you had an exhaust you'll hear it make a pop or after fire sound right before the shake.

Its shaking in disgust its an auto? Joking aside. Your car shouldn't shake.
|
I have an AT '16 FR-S also. Can't say I know about shaking after I start my car. Do you mean as soon as you turn the key over, or after it drops to idle? If it doesn't continue I wouldn't see a reason to worry. Just fill it with premium gas when it gets low, maybe the fuel isn't up to grade? You'll have to be more specific with how severe the shaking is and if you can feel it or maybe your windows just kinda shake.

So, * did you buy the car new .. ?? * if not new, does it have any mods .. ?? * does that morning "shake" happen before or after you put it into gear .. ?? Come back ...... :) humfrz |
I have a 2016 AT as well and I get a little shake while the car warms up. I had the same thing on my Crosstrek too. I'm assuming it's just the engine warming up.

In the morning, if you shake your 86 more than 3 times, you played with it.

When exactly does it shake?
Does the needle for the RPM dip too far as if the car is about to stall? |

After cold start the car revs down. I've never experienced any shaking. |

If your A/C or defroster is on when you start your car, it will shake worse. Your car is in open loop mode when it is cold, meaning it is receiving no feedback from some of the sensors. It goes by a pre-programmed map to determine engine parameters. It doesn't always get it right. When you run the A/C or defroster you drain power off the engine and it has trouble compensating. If this is the case, turn off your A/C and see if the engine runs smoother.
It's a small displacement 4 cylinder. Shaking is going to be normal. |
unfortunately it still shakes, usually shakes when im making a turn, left or right. everytime im on a stop, turning it shakes. anyways i made an app. with toyota i will be leaving the car there. thanks everyone!

Does it start normally or does the engine turn over slowly? Do the lights dim when you hit the brakes? Could be a weak battery or faulty charging system. This car has an electric power steering system and when you turn the wheel, it will draw power off the battery. If the battery is weak, the car will shake.
Another possibility is you have a problem in the transmission or the torque converter. If the torque converter is not stalling out properly when you are sitting still, it will drag on the transmission and bog down the engine. In other words, your transmission may not be disengaging when it should and is taking power from the engine. Let us know what Toyota says. |
This has to be shitposting right?

It's the Torsen diff. Normal. |
Ultramaroom is right. It's more like a light buzz/ vibration coming from the rear rather than saying your whole car shakes. You're kind of blowing things out of proportion.
|
Yeah. Sounds like normal "cold LSD" symptoms, and perfectly normal. I agree with Ultramaroon. It's normal for this differential to bind a little bit before it warms up.
