Crashed my frs

I was carafes my frs. It jumped spun out, jumped the curb and went down a ditch. You guys think it is totaled? Passenger air bags did deploy :( http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...ea290b578d.jpg

Not even close to totaled. New wheels and maybe some suspension and axle work and it will be as good as new.

if both airbags did deply passenger side and front, then i would think it would be a write off. It costs a lot to safety them, not to mention its a safety item. However, at first glance it doesn't seem like there is a lot of physical damage.

Keep us updated

humfrz 09-15-2016 06:46 PM

Well now, that's too bad .....:(

I hope you are OK..??

They just may fix it up ...... :)

Damn, so many people crashing lately.

Summerwolf 09-15-2016 08:03 PM

Airbags deployed and a lot of suspension work..... i would think it totalled, but who knows.

mdm 09-15-2016 09:10 PM

Another one?

Time to revive this thread http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100450 for the sake of balance!

Mr.ac 09-15-2016 09:32 PM

Well, it's looks fixable. I can't see any frame damage. The costly repair would be the air bags replacements. Get some body shop quotes, hopefully your insurance would play ball.

Sorry for your loss dude.

RichardsFRS 09-15-2016 09:49 PM

I posted a pic of mine on facebook, its way worse but its not even that bad

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

Parts are already on the way to Toyota to fix it up

FR-Sky 09-16-2016 12:27 AM

Ya, sure you do.

Manic 09-16-2016 11:14 AM

Part out? I'll take the airbags. Gonna fill them with goose down and turn them into pillows.

Cole 09-16-2016 12:51 PM

You were carafes your FRS? I wouldn't think there's a whole lot of usable space for a carafe. Let alone multiple.

Did you get hit? Did someone hit you? If you spun out because you lost control while sliding around, I'd say wait out on the FI until you're a better driver.

Leonardo 09-16-2016 01:21 PM

Ouch! Looks like my S2000 after my wife drove it! Glad you are not in the hospital.

Be careful out there! Floor it and crank the wheel at your own risk!

Depends on insurance and owner itself. This is fixable however of course airbags costs $$$$$

I doubt it. Mine: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110652 was *barely* totaled. The estimate on that damage was 15k, and it was only totaled since there most likely would have been a couple of thousand more damage once they got into it.

Shinigami301 09-17-2016 11:52 AM

Seems you were just as "carafes" with your typing as with your driving! :)

Seriously hope you come out ok.

Really? I guess as they get cheaper the repair cost vs car value gets lower and they get written off with less damage.

continuecrushing 09-21-2016 01:55 PM

Too easy!

jasonojordan 09-22-2016 08:27 AM

There must be some serious underlying damage we are not seeing for that to be considered totaled.
