Blox Open House - 7/14/2012
 

This Saturday 7/14 is the Blox Open House in Fremont.

It starts at 10am and there will be a ton of cars there. I know One Toyota of Oakland is bringing one FR-S to show off, and mine will be at the Project RIDE booth.

I'll be there. ;)

Just talked to one of the other vendors and there will be a FiveAD equipped car at the show. So this is NorCal folks chance to see that setup in person.

If I roll up in the FR-S should I be parking anywhere specific (as a spectator, although my car is rather shiny these days!)

I think it's just park where you can. I have a map of the vendor layout, but nothing for where non-show cars are parking. I'll be there pretty early (around 9am) We should see if we can get some spectator parking spots set for a few FR-S's. Have the first one park diagonally, and then adjust as more show up. lol

Wheels and Meals 7 has a date of July 22nd. We should get a group from here to all go together or at least park together at that.

I wished i had enough car friendsss to make a groupp!! Ugh ! more girls please !

I'm interested in going... as long as I have a designated place to park. Preferably next to other FRS's and BRZ's.

No designated places unless you registered as a group for the show, but that filled up over a month ago

I may stop by ... no FR-S or BRZ to bring though. I may spend all my time in the parking lot admiring your rides. :sigh:

lol. Most of the guys in the car scene scare them off.

Stop by the ProjectRIDE booth though. My GF is the project director, she's say she's not into cars really, but that's a lie. lol She actually sponsors an all-girl car team in Sacramento. We went to a car show in Sac last month or the month before, and there was also an all-girl drift team there.

lol, there will be some decent food trucks, and I think like 3 different modelling vendors. You should at least stop by and say hi. I'm an overall car nerd. I'll talk to anyone about cars. I like em all.

The 22nd is Wheels and Meals 7. Just a meet with food trucks. No show of any kind. Just car people hanging out and eating food. Parking is usually first come, first serve. People are always coming and going. A lot of the honda guys have to make sure to leave early so they can bounce their cars off of the revlimiter as they drive away. GOTTA SHOW OFF THAT VTEC YO! So you can at least expect their spots to open up fast.

Oh really? Wow. I'm scared that the girls are gonna be mean and HELLLAAAA SEXY in an intimidating way lol !

Im thinking of going, is everyone meeting somewhere first then drive as a group?

Wish I could make it. I have family coming to town for the weekend. Let me know when the next meet up will be and I will try to get there.

I will be bringing the unicorn afterall, my friend's car will be displayed in the show, and I rather not be stuck there all day.

we should coordinate a parking zone... any ideas?

hmmn i will probably take the MR-S... anyone feel like taking a short ride through the twisties after lunch? I will take the scenic drive home anyways... just a casual drive through some fun back roads.

Took a slow drive up my Hamilton wed night. It was awesome. The car felt so planted. It wanted to go so much faster.

I might drop by and check it out.

I'll be there in my FRS. Ill be coming from Stockton if anyone wants to drive together that going the same way.

from what i hear it's going to be crowded and parking could be a pain... i heard some crews come in at 7am to get in early and get their spots :eyebulge:

so anyways I will probably park somewhere far away and keep an eye out for FRS/BRZ's when walking around.

Back home now. It was fun meeting and talking with @Zardoman @BigFatFlip @TheFRSChick and @LSV8

I've learned from this experience that I'm not really into "showing" my cars. Glad I was able to help out my GF and get her booth some traffic, but man that was stressful.

There were not one BRZ at the show, disappointed.

You and me both man. It would have been cool to have the twins setup in one area together so everyone could have seen them side by side.

the show stretched for blocks, even spectator parking was a feast for the eyes... :thumbup:
