Last Tuesday, as I was on my way to work, I got smacked on a roundabout. This older lady didn't yield.. she thought it was a better idea to keep going and smacked me with enough force to cause $8000 in damages. Luckily she fessed up to the crime and her insurance accepted full liability. No injuries. Just damages. Oh and I got a Camaro (I'm calling it Adrian Boaty) as my rental car. Yeaaaaa... I miss my FR-S.

Stay safe out there, guys.

FX86 09-13-2016 04:31 PM

how can you miss your fr-s with all that power in the Camaro? ;)...i am loving my F150 rental truck

Abraxus 09-13-2016 04:38 PM

Handling over power for me. BUT, the Camaro is a 1LT model so it's not the fastest one by any means. I'm just not the biggest fan of the handling. It's not sharp enough.. I don't trust it in the corners.

Well now, Abraxus ....... that's a shame ...... :(

Glad you weren't hurt.

Old people shouldn't be allowed to drive ......... :sigh:

New doors and quarterpanel, plus curtain airbag, someone will eventually resurrect that car back on the road.

On a serious note get yourself checked out as well just in case 😀

if it's faster than our car then i like it..drove a camaro as a rental for a week...trust me it can take the corners..fun car but visibility is horrible

Sucks... I got ambushed by a deer and thought I would have to get a new quarter panel but luckily didn't have to... Hope everything works out for you...

And roundabouts / circles are the worst - people have no clue what they're doing... They're spending $5-$15 million in my town to "create better traffic flow" by changing the circle but from what I've seen they've accomplished nothing but brought out a whole slew of cops eager to give out tickets and help finance the project...

Glad you're okay. Impressed with how much of the passenger area is protected with the airbags.

FR-Sky 09-13-2016 05:06 PM

thats a 10 series too.....

shellslinger 09-13-2016 05:24 PM

Check yourself out. Those types of impacts can cause some serious injuries.

Terruko 09-13-2016 05:34 PM

Oh god why 😧

FX86 09-13-2016 05:36 PM

any pix of the camaro?

continuecrushing 09-13-2016 05:38 PM

dang...no fun!

But at least the ball is rolling with the other driver/insurance

youre right, those times are still not too safe either but i feel like its slightly better than rush hour commutes. i like the super late drives 2am-3am on those insomnia evenings lol.

RichardsFRS 09-15-2016 01:59 PM

Happened here this morning too. Wife was in an accident in the FRS. Nothing major, new rear bumper, lights quarter panel. Car is already at Toyota being doctored

Any pics? And are you 100% sure you'll definitely need a new quarter panel?

Just curious as I thought the damage I had to my quarter panel would require a new one, but ultimatley I didn't! I guess I took it to the right guy because it looks good as new and was a fraction of the cost...

Ohhh......too bad ..... :(

I hope your wife is OK.

I'll bet she feels bad about your car getting mashed up.

I wish your car a good and speedy repair.
