Any clue as to what this "modification" is???

It's not just the floormats; it's the trunk cargo tray too. Between the two of them they take about nine pounds off the total load capacity. Your car was supposed to have a cargo tray, so if it doesn't, you might want to speak to your salesman about that.

I'm never serious 99.1% of the time....I think I need a disclaimer for my posts not to be ever taken seriously...noticed a few users around here need to be asked the question of "why so serious?"

Do you have a rear spoiler?

Mine has the same sticker, but I don't have a spoiler (by choice) and my changes read 0 on the sticker.

The fellow above referring to a cargo tray perhaps didn't notice you have an FR-S, not a BRZ.

No spoiler... must be the floor mats. OMG. Hilarious!

What about the nav unit?

I noticed this sticker about a month ago as well.

For dealer installed options I have:
OEM Spoiler
Fog lights

I don't think I got any kind of cargo tray

No, not the floor mats, ...... the dealer noticed YOU were overweight and had to put that sticker on ....... :D

Nav unit is a module that probably weighs a grand total of about 6 ounces.

I have a monogram, so nav and floor/trunk mats, LED/HID headlights, leather/alcantara seats, rear armrest, and spoiler. Nothing else, no foglights, or any other accessories. Mine says 0 on the sticker. lol.

Damn! Now I guess I really do need to go on that diet.:bonk:

...I wonder if the sticker's indicated reduced carrying capacity reflects the weight of the sticker? If not, who will join me in a class action lawsuit?

Gonna be a sonofabich changing that sticker every time you use or fill up with gas.

Maybe there was a spec change on suspension, coils, dampers or something during the production cycle that actually changes the GVWR and legally Subaru covered their bases.

If I recall correctly the last time we went through this it was determined that the stickers are put on at port or the dealer when optional items are added. This is why the monograms and the ones with factory installed spoilers don't have them. Those ones have the right capacity already on the normal data plate.
