= YOYO's Project EightSix build thread =
Hey guys, thanks for checking out my thread! I've been on these forums for a little bit now, posting here and there, but I have never actually had the chance to post up my own build thread, that is until now. My previous project car was a 2003 Acura RSX Type-S, which I sold in the summer of 2015. My current car is a 2014 Whiteout FR-S, which I purchased used at the end of November 2015. Besides the tint, it came bone stock with just under 16 000km on the odometer.
This is the car when I bought it, minus the Perrin antenna which I installed the day that I brought it home. http://www.studioqube.com/forums/FT8...yo_stock01.jpg Below is a list of my current mods, along with some photos, which I will do my best to update periodically. Build is clean as hell. Great choice in parts, great detail.
Never stillen has such a subtle body kit. Gotta say that HKS exhaust tip is huge. |
Loving some of your photos! You should enter Aug POTM!
btw, how was Stillen lip kit fit? Perfect fit? |

To be honest, I was on a mission of digging up all the aero kits available for the 86 platform, even before the actual purchase of the car, and I came across the Stillen kit by chance. The very clean and subtle aesthetics were an instant win in my books. Yup, the HKS tips are definitely on the 'larger' side :D . I wasn't originally planning on going this route, but I really liked how nicely they fit with the 'OE Diffuser'. The setup is nice and flush, and HKS product quality sure doesn't disappoint either. The exhaust is also very subtle in the sound department, and mated up with the Tomei UEL, it sounds absolutely fantastic. I get compliments on it all the time. Quote:
The fitment on the Stillen kit is definitely excellent. I mean I could nit pick it here and there, but that's all it would really be, nit picking. It was probably the smoothest kit install that I had ever done. |
Posted up some new pics today. I love sunsets, and I think I managed to grab some really neat shots of the car basking in the orange glow, on a local hillside road. Hope you like

Very clean! Nice wheel choice we're twins with twin wheels.

Some goodies that came in the mail today. I got this Chemical Guys, TorqX kit on sale from Amazon. I still need to get a bunch of other things, but I'm really looking forward to doing some detailing.

Very well done there Yo! Not over the top but simple and elegant.
Really like that Blitz induction tube. Where did you pick it up from? Not normal an engine bay guy myself but that looks great. |

I have some new goodies to put on the car. I modded the Valenti 4th brake light to have the V light up separately from the triangular fog light, this way it will fit better with the overall look of the Valenti tails that are already on the car. I also got the Perrin battery tie-down, because swag  |
A box of goodies from FT86Motorsports came in the mail today. Building up my detailing supplies. Also, time for an oil change!
